I have not changed the access permissions for this board in many years. Yet one person thought I had.
I wrote this in response, but since it applies to everyone who might have a login problem I am posting it again here.

The way the access permissions on this message board is configured is to require that to view most of the categories it need to login.
You will have problems seeing most parts of the board if attempting to browse anonymously, or just following some links from a web search engine. You really need to login otherwise you will have problems. If you are not logged in and try to access a restricted category Aimoo.com should prompt you to login or create a user ID.

The only exception to this is a control panel option where I get to choose to exclude or allow web crawlers, so the search engines like Google can access and index the content. We have this switched on, which allows people to find the board through search engines. Even so, you will need to setup an Aimoo.com user ID and password to use the board effectively.

The Aimoo.com usernames and logins seem to work reliably when people are using regular browsers on a standard computer.

Over the years Aimoo.com has messed around with various skins, formats, and various methods of displaying content on things like mobile devices. it seems some of these access methods and devices are not very good at handling cookies, or sometimes logins.

To get a reliable login it seems you do need to know your username and password and use it. Don't try anonymous browsing.

Also use a standard web browser. I normally use Firefox, but it also seems to work reliably with Google Chrome.

Over the years we've seen a number of people have problems, and almost always this is been traced back to something to do with the device they using to access the Internet.

My first suggestion is to try an alternate browser. Start out with Firefox. It works on a number of platforms and is reasonably reliable.

My second suggestion is to use a cleanup tool like the free version of Ccleaner, to remove your session history and cookies for Aimoo.com.
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

To use your browser to clear cookies for one website only,

I.E.  http://www.thewindowsclub.com/delete-internet-cache-particular-website

Chrome http://www.guidingtech.com/6295/delete-site-cookies-chrome/

For Firefox you may want to try this plugin that makes it simple:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/selectivecookiedelete/

Try running this cleanup tool.  ADWcleaner  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

Actually everyone with a Windows based PC should download and run ADW cleaner.
It is very fast and you will be supersized at what junk is loading you can happy kill off.

If you are still having problems disable all extra tool bars and extensions, everything you don't really need.

Other suggestions, STOP using AOL. Period.

Understand that browsers on phones often give very strange results.

DO NOT use any URL designed for a mobile device on a regular PC.  Note the mobile link will have an M in the URL.  See examples below.

Regular http://forum1.aimoo.com/ThongBoard/
MOBILE http://forum1.aimoo.com/ThongBoard/m

If you are to lazy to keep a link to the board and instead ask google to search for it, you may end up with a the mobile edition instead of the regular edition.

I use various PC's, a Win 10, a Win 7 and an XP based computer, and various browsers, but mostly Firefox and Chrome.
None of these normally have a problem, with the exception that when I have asked Aimoo to remember me and keep me logged in, this works better in Firefox than Chrome, which may force me to login again next day.

What browser are you using and on what platform?

I also use firefox on windows7.  I tested three other less common HTML5 compliant browsers and was able to log in.

K-meleon 75 (Sept. 2015, based on Gecko, same as firefox)
Qupzilla 1.8.9 (Fall 2015, based on Webkit)
QtWeb 3.8.5 (Sept. 2013, based on Webkit)

Just for a lark, I tried logging in with Off By One, an ancient HTML3.2 browser from 2006 (no javascript, java, flash or any modern plugins).  I was able to login and view pages with no problems.

If you get restricted access messages, use the Sign Out option from the menu at the top right, clear your browsers cookies, then Sign back in.
Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
