A question, perhaps best answered by bmicro as it pertains to getting away wearing the most micro of G-strings. Wife and I usually stay at the hotels such as Dream, 12th and Collins and then beach around 12th and 14th. Do you think I would get beach enforcement issues. I have a bunch of them, usually reserved for our home pool here in Charleston. Wife enjoys seeing me in them. Wear them as well to Caliente in Land o Lakes, C/O resort. Planning to head back to Miami in July, usually getting there 3-4 times a year. Thanks

I haven't worn a "mini" on MB but have worn suits that show about as much or more- thru fishnet or mesh fabric-- so look less extreme from feet/yards away. Haven't worn an "overt" suit on SB but might be possible on more isolated stretch of beach. Been wearing Dore VeryLowCut suits with "root show" there for over 20years. Under the right circumstances might be able to rock a mini on a SB lounger....but not walking around. Don't know of a hotel pool where that would work. Recently spent a few days wearing my own design ChokerKini (CK) suits on Southbeach with no issues. This is a pouch that's suspended by the fabric between my legs with one or two straps up the back from the crack and around the neck from the back- like a choker necklace. Of course I own some tan thru ones. This offers no straps on the waist or on the front....so baggie look from the front and sling look from the rear. they're more "stable" than baggies- need little/no readjustment and stay on fine in the waves. Baggie slings have front and rear straps, baggie chain/string have separate waistband. Interesting to sit on my towel near the shore with one leg up and watch beachwalkers. It seems middle aged women and men notice I look nude from the sides and front/side...and then stare and look between my legs. Many younger guys and girls don't even seem to notice- what looks like a nude guy with no tanlines sitting there! Yes the lifeguards seem fine with me. The other day they did a "rescue" with about 5 LG's showing up right in front of me and pulling two tourist guys out of a rip current. No one seemed to care about me sitting there.

Those don't provide enough coverage to be legal. Might as well go naked, which looks less deliberately pervy. Miami Beach is thong friendly but isn't a nudist resort. You would be better off with a mesh see through g-string that actually covers your equipment. You will get just as good a tan and will be able to get-up, walk around or go for a swim. Yes, most of the beaches in South Florida are thong friendly, but not perv friendly. On a public beach any sort of dick or balls out display suit will, at a minimum, make others uncomfortable. You end up putting beach staff, lifeguards and the police in a position of making personal judgement calls. Inadvertent nudity like temporary changing into a swimsuit is probably not going to be a problem, but if you deliberately intended to expose yourself to others you have crossed the legal threshold. Wearing a string that is way too small to cover your parts is obviously a deliberate choice and would evidence intention. If you are very luckily you will only be asked to cover up, but you might well end up in jail. Nudity on Miami Beach is illegal, and individuals caught exposing themselves or stripping in public are sometimes fully charged with felony indecent exposure under F.S. 800.03. You can wear a very small g-string, even a tan-through or partly transparent g-string, if you keep your junk covered. The suits you linked to above don't. They are more of joke g-string. You can't legally legally wear them in public anyplace that does not already allow full nudity. One of my pet peeves is people who coming to town and going way beyond the limit, before disappearing back to wherever leaving the locals with the impression that male thongers are just pervert flashers. If you are not prepared to wear that thong in public in your own home town, don't come here to give local thongers a bad reputation. Don't set-up situations where the authorities are going to ask you to cover up, because onlookers will get the impression all mens thongs are banned. Don't ruin a vacation by tempting arrest. Instead wear something that although quite small legally covers. Then walk the beach, go for a swim, play volleyball, have fun.

The beach parking lots have been taken over by "tents" , temporary airconditioned auditoriums for Miami Swim Week. Never thought that hundreds of models strutting around in thongs and less would seem to be an inconvenience- I'm very spoiled! BTW looking at video from many shows virtually all the women's suits from several designers are true thongs! The expected trend toward lower waistlines isn't moving too fast- still a lot of high waisted suits....which means more fabric in the front.

I wouldn't wear those suits as there's a good chance you'd be asked to cover up. Better off wearing a sheer when wet gstring (or a baggie) that covers everything than wear something that only covers the tip. That said, it's unlikely you'd be arrested on South Beach if you were just tanning, unless you combined those suits with doing something sexually overt or disobeyed a request to cover up.

Both JM and Lindros are correct. Those suits are technically illegal. A baggie is the smallest thing you can wear and remain completely legal. However, typically nothing is said if you are wearing something (a waist strap and something colorful down there). It takes a complaint to get either the beach patrol or police to check you out. I have worn suits like these on South Beach with no problem when just laying out but will wear at least a baggie or somewhat larger g-string if I am going to be walking long distances. Since you seem to be planning on renting a chair then if the concessionaire doesn't object then you should be fine.

Many thanks for the guidance. Probably for now the micro strings will be reserved for our backyard pool, Caliente clothing optional resort and Paya Bay Roatan resort. One thing I have found, when with my wife, she and I can get away with much more micro suits than I could wear as a single male. We have often stayed at tge Hyatt Dream hotel, 12th and Collins and at their pool wearing transparent g-strings with no issue. Bartenders and staff commented that we looked great. Even the time we were there for a music fest, pool was packed, we both got good comments and inquiries on where to buy our suits. Thanks again

Ironically Dream Hotel southbeach is one of the only hotels I've ever seen there that specifically said "no men in thongs" somewhere on their website. I remember checking it out when it was new in ?2019. The segregated areas on the roof also looked like private nude sun bathing might be possible-- butt no!

Apparently my tangaland24.de bright yellow mesh gstring and my wife's tiny wicked weasel gstring was considered upscale enough. Never have seen any kids up there. I agree some of the semi hidden areas would be nice for nude sunbathing, they could put up a moveable screen or similar. We may head down there again in early September.

When I was last up there ? 2 yrs after opening- in street clothes there seemed to be doors on those wood slat enclosed areas meaning they could be made private. Never did see how you'd reserve one for yourself or party. Going back about 18 yrs when we'd stay at the Shelborne Beach Resort they had a wood deck and 4 loungers in the back yard enclosed by hedges that the pool boys told me was the nudie area- made use of it many times. It's of course gone now- the new backyard optimizes bar revenue.

I spent a week in Miami Beach on vacation. All I took for swimwear was my teardrop g-strings. They may be super small, but they cover what needs to be covered and from a distance something's visible front and back. I've got some in a tan through mesh fabric but the print pattern hides what's underneath. I wore several different ones each day to make use of my large collection of them. There's not much of opportunities to wear them except on vacation. I walked along South Beach on multiple days from 8th to 24th streets. It was like I'm transparent. No reactions. I'm going along like the other people walking the beach. For anyone looking my way I give a smile. One young man stopped me to ask where he could find something like my g-string. I gave him tips for online shopping. What about the swimwear scene on the beach? For women about 10% thongs. Maybe a third cheeky. No topless. For men a dozen bikinis spotted. No thongs. However, the boardshort era might be over. Less than 10% on men. So South Beach is a good place for small swimwear. No issues. On nearby boardwalk I wore miniskirts, see through tank tops, tiny crop tops, and my Wicked Weasel fishnet see through short shorts with a skinz g-string underneath. No reactions to any of those other than smiles. For women transparent coverups are still popular. Some women had miniskirts as short or shorter than mine. Not many women wearing just swimsuits off the beach but about 10% thongs.

Glad to get a second late summer week long trip to Miami Beach. South Beach didn't seem crowded. I walked a couple of miles along the shore morning and evening wearing my teardrop g-strings. The only comment I heard was from a group of people in street clothes, and one said, some people go around naked here. I saw at least three women per day wearing g-strings. Thongs on 1 in 10 women. Cheekies on a third. More like street clothes, not swimwear, on a third. Two topless women by the shore early in the morning. Some women at the hotel where I stayed enjoyed walking out to the beach the whole way topless and with no coverup. So topless still happens. I didn't see any men with thongs, and only a few bikinis, but board shorts are getting to be an endangered species. About half of men had streetwear style shorts and t-shirts.
