Glad to hear you're in a relationship where both of you can enjoy thongs without one of you thinking the other is weird. When I first got with my girlfriend she hardly wore any thongs but when she realised that I really enjoyed thongs and thought they were a very comfortable form of underwear and swimwear I think this opened her mind a little. The final straw was when she realised that when I wore a thong on the beach people actually did NOT stare and look at me and this made her realise that you shouldn't worry about what other people think and they don't really care anyway. She's progressed from wearing hardly any thongs at all when I met her to being a 100% thonger, sometimes wearing very short or sheer skirts,  and also now she wears the most daring styles of Wicked Weasel bikini when we're on holidays with her favourites being some of  the smallest cuts (she hasn't progressed onto sheer materials on crowded beaches yet but does have some for quieter beaches).

Has anyone had this experience of their partner changing their minds due to your openess about wearing thongs?

My wife didn't really wear thongs when I met her, but I bought her heaps of lingerie over the years, and a large percentage of that was thongs. I used to buy her the bra, brief, and thong as a set, but now she wears thongs 99% of the time, so that's all I buy.

The thongs at the beach for her still requires a fairly quiet beach, but she's coming around more all the time. I know me wearing them 24/7 for quite a few years now has helped change har mind gradually.

I thong about 75% of the time so my wife knows how much I like them.  She doesn't thong at all but that's ok.  Her physique, at this point, doesn't quite cater to minimal coverage fashions - but she is working dilligently on that.  When the right time comes, I'm going to take the same approach as Thongmad.  And I have every confidence that I will get a very similar result.

I am not sure that starting her of with a WW suit is the best approach. Maybe a suit that is a little less daring would be good for starting out. I find that the first problem is not getting a women to be comfortable in a thong, but being comfortable that I am in a thong. To do this I make sure that we are on a 'normal' beach, I am acting normal and the other beach goers are treating me normally. When they see that others don't care what you are wearing then they will feel comfortable joining in.

It helps if you condition them to expect a wonderful experience. You may start thonging with her in private. For example when out in your garden. When she wears a thong then make sure she enjoys it. Volunteer to put on her sun screen. Then proceed to give her a LONG and wonderful massage with a lotion or oil that smells of coconuts and tropical places.

Don't be grossed out about looking at your sisters friend getting aroused while wearing the WW's after all its natural for a male to look at a good looking girl in a small suit and vice versa.

I know what you mean though as I too get aroused while wearing my smallest/sheer suits to the beach, although I don't know if it becomes visible to others as I have not looked, a few of my friends come to the beach with me and they have not mentioned anything about it to me so I can't answer.

In response to Spesheled1 saying that he expects equality between the sexes:  I expect that, too, especially since I am married to a very intelligent and accomplished girl, and our relationship (her second marriage, my third) thrives on each recognizing and accepting whatever the other wants and feels.

Many people on this board have hinted or outright admitted that they enjoy being exhibitionists.  I guess we should expect that on this, a thong board.  But I'm going to challenge all of you courageous men to lay down your inhibitions (i.e., ignore what your parents and friends and siblings and teachers and media taught you about what is expected of you to be a real man) and start wearing skirts!  You want sexual equality?  Does your mate want sexual equality?  Then allow yourself the same options the girls insist on for themselves!

It may be reassuring to you to find on the internet a little about the history of the skirt, but without boring you all to tears, I would ask that you simply understand that men invented skirts for men to wear!  Only in modern times have men given up their skirts to wear pants, and it depends on whom you listen to as to the reasons why.  (Horseback riding, factory work, etc.)

Getting to the point:  It took me half a century of obedient pants wearing before I learned that quite a few men in the world wear skirts even today, and many are bravely trying to revive the custom because it is so comfortable, so convenient and so downright sexy for a man to wear a skirt.  And now that I've been wearing them exclusively for several years, I can honestly tell you that the female attention I desire is very evident when I put on a skirt!  (Same goes for you, my brave friend.)

Now, mind you, I'm not talking about "crossdressing" here.  (I hate that word because it is so sexist!)  With my skirts (I now have many) I wear combat boots, knee-long soccer socks, combat belt and a nice golf shirt.  I also am 5'10" and weigh over 200 pounds, and no one messes with me.  Quite the opposite:  Every single day I get compliments from gals and guys who clearly appreciate my style and my guts.  Oh, this is a thong board:  I wear thongs everywhere!  Or nothing.  Under the skirts, of course, and every once in awhile someone wants to know what I've got on under there.  You show them or you just smile.  And sometimes my very supportive wife lifts my skirt when someone asks.  Life is good.
