The beach has been raked early so I had to dodge the tractor one morning. I moved after he dodged me, he gave me a thumbs up thanks when he returned. I was buns up, so that was cool. The flies are starting to get a little bad. Thankfully a wind is keeping them tolerable. Have not seen many others this week.

Thick layer of cement like crud over the sand, whole beach stinks terribly. Apparently happens occasionally with unusually warm weather and heavy rain, both which we have had. Hope it clears up before fall but it kinda ruined the outing for us. |

I gave myself some distance from a rather large multi generation family. The wind screen was needed today and also gave some cover. I went for a walk down to the water and got my feet in. It was not to chili until about mid calf. No swimming yet. Three shell seekers walked within 5 feet of me while I was on my stomach sunning my buns. A ranger watching the plovers also right by me without saying a thing. A good day in scarborough Maine |

Beach racking was going on so the sand was clear of all the seaweed. Great that it helps to control the flies too. Set up in my normal spot between 9th and 10th streets. One day had a single set up in a very cheeky suit about 20’ feet away. It felt like acceptance and was very satisfying. There three singles in various states of small suits in a very small area of sand. |

I have been entering in through the 11th St. beach access and turning right walking towards old orchard beach for a few minutes. Lots of sand and space to spread out. |

The fog never lifted and it was cool with a breeze at the beach. I parked at Sterns and entered across the channel from Proust Neck. I then walked back toward OOB until I reached the Holiday House which is around 11th st. If the sun was out it would have been great, but today it was pretty empty and lots of kids. I was there at low tide and the beach is huge. I could see at high tide it would be much smaller. I would definitely like to visit when the weather is better. TS |

Lots of surfers at that spot. I stayed for about an hour from 11:30 and I was the only person there in a thong. I was hoping to meet ThongerinME or Tic. It’s a lovely beach, but it was missing that vibe I look for.

The weather has been terrible. I was working, and generally try to avoid the weekend crowd. This particular weekend is going to be busy through the 4th. That being said, I may make it early on the fourth, and again on the 5th. Tide will low in the morning. Nice pictures |

The tide was low so there was lot of room to pass by people. I am more confident this year than past years and am less concerned with others jeers or snickers. I am doing what I like. That being said, I act casual, my pace is active and I keep moving. It has been fun. |

I set up near the benches by the condos and as soon as I was set an older woman and I can only assume her grand daughter saddle up on a bench 10 yards away. The younger female was probably late teens and wearing a very cheeky suit. She did not seem to care about me and proceeded to walk to the shore and go swimming. No wind so the waves were very small, so a fair number of surf casting with the tide coming in. Hope to get back tomorrow or Wednesday. Weather looks better on Wednesday. |

I did not fight her and I would not want to. She was working out and I had just got done getting my chair and blanket set up. She came over and said this was her area. Her words were "Time for you to move". I hesitated and the older lady said to me... "You should move so you don't get hurt". I felt things would not go well for me so I moved to another area. I was still able to see her as she went through her workout. Based on what I saw it was a good decision for me to move and let her have her space. Her area is by the taller buildings where there is bench set up by the grassy area. Just be very careful with this young lady if she is around. |

Usually in my normal spot away from the crowds. My preferred entrances are at 9th or 11th street. Then usually head down towards the condo towers. It is generally peaceful. I go in the water when the urge is present. I mind my own business and keep to myself. There is a woman who has been pretty consistently present in what looks like a Malibu strings thong. She has a great all over tan and is quite fit. The older gentleman who returns year after year was there yesterday in his normal spot. I will continue to be a beach goer representing a very small demographic in a very small swimsuit. |

There was so much open space. It was a short walk from the 11th street entrance. My usual spot. As tradition has developed I sported my los colinas N2N blue thong with white banding. As I look through my photo history it appears to be the first suit of choice for the first beach day locally. Should be a good year at pine point. |

I think it can be worn on quieter days in the early season. The beach was again pretty quiet with walkers. I set up right between 9th and 11th. I like the morning vibe the best. |

Nice temp and a gentle breeze on day that has hazy sun.kind of slow chill day and not many people on the beach. I am in my usual spot down towards the condos. There has been an increase in women spotted in things, mostly teens to late 20’s I would guess. I saw one man in a speedo yesterday. There is a fair amount of seaweed on the beach that probably won’t get racked until plover nesting season is over. Lots of fencing up for awareness of this. Have a great day! |

Weekends are hard because of the crowds, parking is more limited than ever as they have shut down street parking further down the point. There is a lot that has been traditionally underused because of this that will now be reaping the rewards.
Weekdays are best. There is generally street parking in grand ave going towards OOB. A stretch of sand between 9th and 11th street has often been a place where thongs are seen. This is good place to enter as there are only three houses between these access paths. Mid week there is plenty of real estate for laying out here. Low tide is best if you are conscientious of stares and gawking. The space between the beach head and shoreline is uquite expansive. High tide is exciting if you are into the exhibitionism. People will be walking very close by.
Currently there is a lot of seaweed on the beach. The piping plovers are nesting and as a protected bird, there is fencing up. This prevents the raking that generally starts after nesting season.
Lots of summer left, but not t is going to pass quickly. Get there while you can and say hello if you see a fellow thong enthusiasts! |
