A few years ago, I use to go to Bootleggers in Ft Lauderale during the week to use the pool and lay out.  One day I went inside to the bathroom from the pool with just my G-string on.  There was a few other girls in their Bikinis there and one had just gone in right before me,  she was early 20's good bod. but the man with his wife commented to me that I was putting the girls to shame with my butt and my g-string.  his wife need a picture, pretty nice since I was 48 at the time

osceola89, great comment you got.

I got a great comment from a women at the pool sauna. After my many laps in the pool I entered the sauna and had a choice to sit one side with older gent spread out laying on the bench or other side with this woman. So I backed up not looking at the woman as though I had not sen her. As I sat down, she asked "Are you a model?". I laughed, thinking it was a pickup line, but she honestly believed it. After a long talk with her, as I stood up, she looked at my body and was biting her bottom lip and looking at me with smile.

As was said in a few posts before, some women do not know how to react. They are either totally shocked, especially if they see a man wearing a g-string shaven and well kept, with nice legs and butt.  sometimes they want a picture, sometimes in group, young girls with go ehh, but one on one most college girls seem to like them.  I was wearing my G-string in a bar in Honolulu a few blocks from the beach, a tavern, I had my g-string sitting on a bar stool, which was in a small passageway to the other room where another small bar and chairs were, no one was there, a attractive blonde beer rep came over and saw me from behind, and she said I made her day, if she could take a picture and I said she could, she put her hand on my shoulder and then pinch my bare butt.  She then gasped and said, to look at the front.  I had on a Koala missele string She said that she wished more men would wear a suit like that. The female bartender commented that I was only to wear that suit.    she took several pictures and the next week I saw her again and she said her girl friends wanted to know where the bar was.

It was sunny when I arrived at the beach.  Locked up the bicycle and headed out to the life guard box on the sand. There were a group of young men, with a couple of women, taking lifeguard training. I said good morning and started of my run at a good clip, so as to not look too wimpy.

As I ran up the beach a cloud came over and it looked like it might rain. Ahead of me I saw a group of young people stand up and pick up their stuff to leave the sand.  One of the young women in the group bounded up to me and said she liked my suit, that I had balls to wear it and I had a good ass too.

She asked if she could run with me, and did so for a while, which was a good effort because I was running quite fast and she was carrying a drink in one hand and had a towel in the other. She asked if I lived here, she was just visiting. As we ran we exchanged other information too.  She thought it was brave of me to wear a thong and she liked it a lot. We exchanged names before she got exhausted and stopped running.

I am over 50 and being chased down by a twenty year old ain't bad.  I did not see them on my return as a light rain had cleared the beach.  The skies cleared and the sun came out again as I rode my bike home.  Another good day at the beach with positive feedback.

SixFive, It does not happen every day. Some days people just smile and wave.  Some days the only comment comes from a drunk homeless man or redneck, who say "Put some pants on."

This week has been better than average.  Two days ago, after running I met a very cute women from California.  We have quite a bit in common, for example we both lived on sailing boats in the Virgin Islands. Then today this young women came bounding over.

I think it helps to smile a lot.  A genuine sincere friendly smile. As the saying goes, if you can fake that you have it made. When running I have to remind my self to smile at people instead of just looking exhausted.

I think the attitude one projects has a lot to do with the feedback one gets. While I wear small thongs or g-strings I don't wear thongs that project the package forward and make me look like a prick. If anything most of them tend to keep things compressed and under control, so I don't flop around all over the place when running. I think trying to act and be more normal, deliberately not flaunting my junk, not wearing push out or push up thongs, helps.  I try to keep my head up and lead with my nose, not the lower appendage. When running I sometimes realize I have forgotten which thong I am wearing that day, but I will not look down because I don't want to be seen to be checking myself out. If someone complements me on the thong I will look at them and say thanks, and again not look down at the thong, not even for a split second.

Don't be seen to have doubts, to be checking ones self out, to be strutting ones package any more than necessary.  Do look like you are out there doing something, being normal, having fun.

And Smile - at everyone - not just the pretty girls.  I think if you come across as genuinely liking all of humanity then some of that warmth gets reflected back in smiling faces.

JM, I guess we practice some of the same thonging habits. I hadn't really thought about mine until you wrote your post.
I wear fairly conservative thongs when out on the beach and public. They are your basic shaped thongs without push out pouches, or enhancement pouches. The only time I wear my micro thongs or slingshots, or suspender suits, are when I wear them as underwear, even if this means I'm wearing them during a doctor's, chiropractor's, physiotherapist, or massage therapist appointments. These people are professionals and have seen it all, so I don't have a problem wearing micro thongs in front of them.
When in public, I smile at people without leering. I greet them with a friendly hello. I don't check myself out or put my package on display in front of people's faces. I act normal as I go about my business, which on the beach means laying out, reading, tanning, swimming, or snorkeling.
During my last trip to Cuba, I had lots of girls and guys looking at me, but not one of them said anything. I got some smiles back and hello's in return. One lady whom I exchanged smiles with later came by during dinner and introduced herself and we had a short conversation. While she didn't say anything about my swimwear, I think the reason she came by to talk was because she noticed me in my thong earlier.
Act normal, and people will treat you normal. Isn't that what we are trying to achieve to make thongs more acceptable?

JM and DoreFan, right on.  Resonates with my experience today on the beach here in Naples.  Finally worked my way down to the smallest g-string I brought on this trip, a tan-thru sliding string in a red mesh print, hanging off a 1/8" waist cord.  Small, but covers, in a very normal-hanging way.  As I came out of the water after a long swim, I noted a guy clumsily paddling a standup board.  Obviously a first-timer, as I will be when I rent one, so I worked up the courage to speak to an older couple who had been sitting near me all day and who no doubt had had a chance to observe my totally normal behavior.  I joked with them about the poor chap, shown up by his girlfriend who was an expert.  This began an animated, half-hour conversation discussing Naples, the beach, literature, school teaching, etc.  And here I was, standing there nearly naked as folks strolled by just feet away, my bare ass feeling so exposed, my tiny pouch staring them in the face.  But I never looked down to check things out, and never allowed the slightest embarrassment to show, just gutts'd it and behaved naturally, with a casual non-chalance.  No mention was made of my suit, but their enthusiastic acceptance of me as a person was the best compliment possible.  They even invited me and my wife (she was back in the room) to look at the condo for sale in their complex nearby, where he's on the board, because we all love Naples so.  In closing he said 'see you tomorrow'.

Now that's positive feedback!

Jm_runs makes solid points always...... In my case i want or need to have females take notice when seeing me.. Suppose that's my problem and best discussed on another forum..
Once i was in a steam room and nice young guy started a conversation about me being well built to others..   I tried to talk him out of it but he honestly believed i was wrong about myself while others found the discussion amusing looking at me as if i didn't consider myself in shape who is...

After the same guy seen me in the whirlpool he chatted about how lucky i must be with woman. Eluding to the fact women enjoy looking at me ... Told him often women are more prown to laugh or be frightened of me... He was surprised at my answer left me alone...

Although i do notice almost every women who see's me at the pool watch me walk along the pool deck.. Rarely have i noticed some female ignore me ... Some have made it clear they like what they see but tend not to seek me out but wait until i leave before they use certain areas of the aqua facilty. Just guessing females don't trust themselves sitting  beside me knowing how they feel about me...

Unless i get a OH MY GOD! Comment from a newbie female looking upon me i consider the time i spend at the pool disappointing. Women are clever do there watching subtly, which i notice being very hyper-observant...Guess it's ego thing with me... Doesn't always mean when females eyeballs pop out looking in my direction is a sign they like what they see..... In my narrow mind i enjoy it until they start laughing or wait to comment when i'am far enough away from hearing them...

Yet i find many people lead a sheltered life not like me who can stand in ankle deep water on the beach nude, having a mature engaging conversation with lovely married nude women few feet away as nothing is different as if we had clothes on. Pretty fun watching other clothed lurkers seeing our tanned naked bodies and her wonderful body piercings... We both enjoy being exhibitionist making comments about others not belonging clothed with denim at the beach....

I've had both friends and complete strangers whistle and cat call at me. :-) I just smile or laugh. I've never heard anything negative - mind you I would never thong at a beach or pool where I thought people wouldn't be cool with it. Thonging for me is like going to a spa....I want to relax, not worry about getting lynched just because i'm in a skimpy thong swimsuit.

JM and many of you other guys have it so right, always be cheerful, polite, smile and wear a suit that is appropriate for your surroundings, then act as if what you are wearing is no big dear or any different to other beach/pool wear,  if you don't emphasize yourself,  people look upon you as "oh, thats what he normally wears,"  whether they agree with your choice or not, seldom will they make a fuss, if you go showing off and posing too much, there is more chance of people taking umbrage to what you are wearing.

Here's a little example.......
As some of you will have read, I tan in a little park in Barnes, London, it's very quiet down there during the week and experience has told me I can get away with some of my slightly smaller suits, well actually some of my REALLY small ones on days that are quiet enough.

There's a young lady that tans down there also and until this summer we had never really chatted but we did greet or acknowledge each other as either one of us would set up nearby. One day she is very close to my usual set up spot. I approach I ask if I'll be too close if I set up where I usually do. She agreed it was OK for me to plant myself in my usual spot,  "As long as you are not like the other guy that comes down every now and again and flaunts himself to everyone that passes by."
There is some passing foot traffic and dog walkers down there and apparently this guy always manages to stand, bent over or adjust his towel so as to make sure whoever is passing by gets an eyeful.  I've never seen this guy but know she has seen me many times before, so I say "You've see me before and you know that's not me, I just want to read my book and catch some rays."
With a beautiful big cheeky grin she replies "Yer true. Sometimes I really enjoy the views down here but  I just don't want to be associated with that sort of  behavior.  So what colour suit have you on today?"

I'm not sure if she set up so close to my spot on purpose, but no sooner had I started sunning in my usual one-sided thong than she undid her tie-sided bikini bottom to reveal a really quite small fronted g-string.  I'd never seen her in anything so small before!

We ended up chatting all afternoon and have meet down there several times since. She takes me for the guy I am.....small suits and all!

I suppose there are always exceptions to the rule, sometimes, like then, you can get away with a suit that is  truly tiny and out there so to speak.  I am lucky with her, she doesn't mind my attire but I know she is not the norm. The rest of the time its better to be more conservative and if you are getting a bad vibe, well that is when it's time to move on and find a quieter spot or just cover up a bit!

I'm a great believer in "There is a time and a place for everything". On the beaches I've been to a modest thong has not be a problem, at least if you don't flaunt it. I keep my more risqué suits for quieter areas, where experience tells me I can get away with it, that and private pool parties ect.

I second that - a time & a place for every suit! Although I'm pretty comfortable wearing my traditional Speedo pretty much to any beach/pool, I am careful about wearing a thong.

"where experience tells me I can get away with it".

A bit of Catch 22 here. How does one gather experience without actually doing it?
If one observes what others are wearing, then a guy would never thong anywhere! For example, "everybody" knows that in Australia even women can't wear a g-string (or even a thong) at a local Olympic pool, yet when I did, at five of seven pools it wasn't an issue. And even at the other two the requests to wear more were polite and friendly. Sometimes you've just got to get out there and do it.

Yo Israelthong....
I'm a big guy and can take pretty good care of myself. I grew up in a tough neighborhood in Chicago's south side.
But some advice I got from Momma when I was a kid... Never ever go off with strangers. You may not come back.
Been under the friendliest of circumstances no way I'd go off with someone to their hotel.  I don't care if they were nerds, muscle heads or priests - especially priests. We'd have to keep conversation public so the hotel pool would have to suffice.
Btw - you have one of the nicest rear ends I've ever seen and I suspect it gets you into trouble.

Sounds like you guys have real sensible, level heads when it comes to when and when not to wear a really cheeky suit. I always wear a thong when I'm planning to primarily get sun and plan my beach trip accordingly. I usually wear a poser or a drawstring bikini style with full ass coverage when I know I'm going to be in a big crowd or likely to be around folks one of us works with. Like its already been said, the key is not to be self conscious and don't be an ass. If you are at ease, everyone else will be also.
I've had 2 bad experiences in 20 years wearing thongs on the beach, and they are not worth going into. I long lost count of the good experiences. My wife and I have learned to appreciate the stares as unspoken compliments. My wife always gets a kick out of the people who stop whatever they are doing and watch me walk down to or from the water. She gets aggravated that when the beach isn't crowded it seems people, especially women in groups and moms with kids, will setup right on top of us. Anyway, I'm no where near as self-conscious as I once was about wearing thongs on the beach, and for all of the supposed stigma and disapproval, my experiences have encouraged me to be more at ease about it.
Happy thonging!!!
p.s. - guys keep hard on those squats and lunges in the gym - they matter....lol

My Way Best positive experience was at a Sandal's resort in Jamaica a few years ago. My wife and I went for an all-inclusive week and had a blast. I packed only posers, rios and thongs, not sure which I would wear most. There were quite a few European couples at the resort, and lots of thongs and g-strings among them. Most of them, men and women were pretty hot looking too!
After a couple days we befriended two American couples and went to dinner with them. The two hubbies were oblivious to anything that didn't involve golf and apparently planned to conquer every golf course on Jamaica (can't imagine there's very many). Among other things, the dinner conversation included how disgusting these two women thought it was for men to be wearing thongs and tiny "speedos" (I hate that term) in "public", and they even jumped on their disapproval of this super hot forty-something Spanish lady whom I did not see the entire week in anything other than various styles of g-strings - and yes, she needed to be wearing them - enough said. My wife and I listened patiently and just smiled offering little in the conversation. After dinner we agreed to meet back at one of the hot tubs for a night cap.
Much to my delight, my mischievous wife pulled out the smallest thong I had and told me I had to wear that to the hot tub. She put on her next-to-nothing and off we went. Those ladies' eyes bulged out and their mouths fell open, but not a word. I slipped in the water without a word and ordered from the bartender, a handsome young dude who was grinning ear to ear! The two mulligan hubbies sat at the bar, eyes glued to the golf channel. Finally the blabber mouth one stuttered something about my suit was a pleasant surprise. When I inquired that I didn't think she liked that kind of thing, dead-pan she replied that was before she saw me in one. I thought my wife was going to have an O right there. Needless to say she later I got the "I told you so" lecture and a passionate show of appreciation. The evening was awesome, and they both asked all kinds of questions about thongs, how comfortable, different styles, wearing them in "public", were we afraid of what other people think/said? We both "modeled" our suits as they asked, and I figured we had broke through the ice with these two. They were both already seriously rocking bikinis and would do thongs justice.
Late the next morning, these two women joined us on the resort part of the beach in some pretty hot little tie-side bikinis; one guess where their hubbies were - idiots. My sweetie was in the same suit she wore to the hot tub, and I was laying out in my fave rio style suit. Right to the point, before they even laid down, these two converts demanded to know where my "ass suit" was!!! Obediently I went right back to the room and put it on. The rest of the week it was thongs only for me in the pool and on the beach. It was a blast, and my wife and I both had a lot of fun hanging around with them. I took some serious ribbing from the bartenders and some of the other guys about my butt hanging out and at the same time everywhere they saw me I was escorted by three serious hotties!! I know it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and one I wouldn't take anything for in the world.
Like it's already been said over and over on this board; relax, be friendly and at ease, and its amazing what a different reaction you get from people once they get over their own projections of what they "think" you're like.

Oh course, their original objections to thongs that they are weird or lewd were proven baseless because they did not find you to be. Your approach was so much more effective than getting defensive and entering their discussion. It only takes one experience like this to win people over. Great story-thanks for sharing.

I always find that if your with a female friend then other women tend to feel more at ease. It almost encourages other women to be more friendly rather then to keep there distance, or make complimentary remarks without worrying i may take it the wrong way..

Best place to put this experience I guess:

I was at the beach one day, wearing a neon yellow muscleskins classic 3/4. Was a reasonably busy day, so I'd gotten a lot of attention already, but the highlight was around mid afternoon when I got up to take a dip, and as I was walking towards the water there was a group of high school girls, most still in their uniforms, near the water edge. They saw me, and pretty much went wild. Wolf whistles, calling out "shake it, baby!" I walked a bit further out, one runs up to me, she's in a bikini, she says, "I think it's hot." I smile. She smiles, then runs back to her friends.

I'm pretty sure they were from an all girls school, so spending their days mostly separated from males would tend to make them go a little boy crazy. But it was nice to see a group of young girls comfortable with a man showing some skin, when it seems like these days youths are being conditioned to abhor any overt displays of male sexuality.

Today was the first day warm enough for the beach (for me, at least) in a while . Went out in a narrow Pablosan G-string with a C-ring. I went over to the refreshment stand for a diet coke. While walking back to my towel, an attractive middle-aged lady stopped me and said:
"We have been coming here regularly for many years and see you regularly. Every time we see you you are in better shape and wearing another fascinating swimsuit".
I thanked her profusely and we chatted for a  while. She then went back to the chairs that she and her husband had rented and I returned to my towel, smiling inside.

i was out for a weekend to the beach in Erieau, near where i live. i went really early in the morning so i could get a good spot. i layed out my towel and decided to go for a walk to the lighthouse. at that time of the morning i was the only one on the beach. anyway...walking to the lighthouse, when i got there to look at the amazing view, I heard, "Nice suit, I really like it!"
I looked over and this lady about 40ish, was smiling at me. I said thank you and continued on my way back to the spot where my towel and radio was at. the swimsuit i had on was a neon green see thru mesh and you could see everything. that lady was sort of an inspiration to me. one day i hope i see that nice lady there in her swimsuit and i hope its a thong she has on.

My girlfriend and like to hit the lake and river, and we always wear matching Skinz suits and act like goofballs. Every time, we usually have groups of people/families walking dogs come up and hang out and join in our stupidity. We get our pictures taken, we get comments on how cute we are matching, how sunburned our asses are, etc.
I even once had someone shoot a "what the fuck" glance and I just blurted "yeah, she writes my name on mine so we don't mix them up" and that broke the ice and we played with their dog for 2 hours. Our attitude is what makes people comfortable chatting.

When ever I am out on the beach I get a lot of welcoming smiles, friendly waves, thumbs up and other positive feedback. Sometimes I get verbal support like "Nice Thong" or similar remarks from the females. Now and again a cheer or two if there is a group.

While I am stretching after the run it is not uncommon for someone to come over and strike up a conversation to compliment me on my body or thong.

When I stopped at a shower during a run last week a young girl with her mother came over.  The girl asked if I normally wear a thong for running, and then asked why don't more people?  They mentioned that from a distance the orange strap looked skin color and so I looked naked, but when closer they could see I was not. Turned out they were very nice visitors down for a week from Ohio.

Friday I stopped for a drink at the based of the walkover. A prity young women asked if she could have a picture taken with me, and almost ordered me to follow her back to her family so the picture could be taken.  Very cute and very chatty. Turns out they were down for a body painting convention. Unfortunately not the sort of body painting you are thinking of, but car bodies.  When she said painting bodies was interesting too I suggested she do a google image search on "Fantasy Fest".

Monday I got a "Nice Thong" from a women at my Sunrise water stop, and "Good Legs" at the coffee shop. But to my surprise I had a secret admirer who was too shy to say something on the beach and instead google searched to find this forum, and left me a PM saying:

"Hello,
I have noticed you running in you thongs for years on Fort Lauderdale Beach and have admired you from afar but yesterday...... when was walking on the sidewalk on A1A and Las Olas I looked up and a few feet from me was you beautiful golden (lightly hairy ass) bending over your bike. You had on a dark top and baseball cap. I wanted to stop and take a picture and talk to you but I was too embarrassed.
I googled 'men in thong on fort lauderdale beach' and found you here. Just wanted you know your thong wearing has given me much joy and I look forward to seeing you run again."

Not sure my buttocks rate rave reviews, but thanks for the complement. It sure was a lot of effort to go to when a simple smile and thumbs up on the beach would have sufficed.

Remember the golden rule:  Sholders back, chin up and smile at everyone! - Sod those who can't smile back.

Here is some good advice for how to get better feedback on the beach, start with your body language:

When i was standing out on the clothing optional beach totally nude. Group of  people were passing by. Young woman in her early 20's asked the guys she was with, "is that the thongman". Nothing was said, but curious that only wearing my g-string for very short time at the beach i get labeled as a "thongman". Find it funny that a label like that is used to describe me. Being nude guessing labels are difficult to be used on clothing optional beach.
Surprises me i'm not always the only guy in a thong, although that day i was for short period of time. Only noticed two other woman in thongs that day on the c/o beach. While many wore full cut bikini bottoms.

Went out on my quiet beach along Lake Michigan. Headed to a quiet spot where the closest person was about 200 yards away. As I laid out, I noticed a woman working her way very slowly up the shoreline looking for beach glass. She made it to my position and continued on past. On the dune behind me I could hear yelling of kids coming down the dune. I decided to slip on my shorts, rather than encounter a group of kids.  The woman, who was just beyond me called out, " you don't have to cover up. It doesn't bother me!"
I appreciated that she felt this way. It was nice to get some support to enjoy the outdoors in a tiny suit!

Went to my usual clothing optional beach. Setup near couple groups of mix males and females maybe 8 in each group. Nobody was nude best the  woman wore was a conservative bikini.
As i slowly began to remove my clothes but was lying on my side facing away from the textile young groups.Did notice the ladies were intrigued to see all. Took about hour or longer before i walked towards the water. When i got up from my towel i heard comments from the group. Woman said, here we go this what your waiting for.
Later on lying on my towel i heard one lady in the group surrounding me saying to her friend, "oh i want so much to sit on him right now.." When i was leaving before i put on my muscleskins poser thong. Heard one guy in the group make comments of that i was probably gay. Then the female answered back, he's only different, that's all.
While looking at some woman's expressions staring upon me i think they liked what they seen. If they didn't some wouldn't be gazing upon every move i made. Guess some ladies admired me from afar.
Also overheard a funny comment from a woman in the group watching me rubbing oil over my body "he must have a lot of practice and experience getting it on" (suntan oil on my back).  Later heard some woman giggling noticing i was aware of wind blown beach debris stuck on my skin. She said to her group of friends, see how perfect he wants to look.  All afternoon i was being watched closely and commented on.

East Fork beach today for 3 hours. A total of 30 or something people the whole beach. No negative comments, and most everyone minded their own business. A few groups of teens, even close by without any comments, even when I came out of the water. A great experience, a few people looked but it didn't seem to be more than normal for looking around. (Not that it has happened) Today it seemed like people are becoming more accepting of "it's a beach, some wear speedos or thongs"

Went to the gym in the evening for a workout. Feeling very stressed out and weak so after my horrible weight training i hit the pool. Took a hot sauna then dipped myself in the whirlpool getting rid of any aches and pain. Not many people around late in the evening except for the pool which eventually opened up slowly. All this time i had on unlined two toned  black and white cheeky thong. Works well when i put my glutes up in the whirlpool jets massaging without any fabric in the way.
So i took a rinse on the pool shower deck not caring who sees me wearing what many never do. After 20 minutes of swimming laps and virtually only asian women swimming beside me and a couple guys the flood gates opened up.

Five teen girls show up and attractive woman in a rio bikini sharing a lane with another speedo guy. The teen girls all get into the pool not swimming only being boisterous splashing jumping doing headstands etc. The asian woman after hitting me doing her lap decided  to leave from the overcrowded pool. While i stayed for a little longer i to began to climb out of the pool rinsing off showering on the deck. The teens noticed me expected some giggles but only heard one snort, couple whispers of "look at his body", "nice", "oh my god! Look at his butt" watching me walk into the dry sauna. After resting and getting very hot i basically called it a night. While the teens still in the water chatting away all at the same time was getting little loud. So i began to use the pool deck shower to cool off and rinse. Nothing much was being said but knew the girls were all watching each of them 18 or 19 years of age.  Heard one say to other, "tell him". As i packed up my towels and swim accessory bag i headed to the locker room door.

Suddenly hearing one of the teens yelling far away across the pool woe hoe nice body, then Nice butt! Again a singing chant nice body, nice butt woe ho, over and over again in song while i opened the locker room pool door.
To bad the teen was so shy waiting to tell me when  i was leaving. Only hearing the pool room echo  chant as my back was to them. At least i knew i don't look so terrible in a thong and gave me a slight smirk from stressful depressing time in my life. Hearing the chant even while i was in the locker room corridor with the pool door shut.

Noticing some of the reactions from guys faces as the chant continued and my choice of thong swimwear was amusing.
Nice to know 1 out 5 females liked what they seen of me wearing a thong. Always second guessing myself if i can wear a thong and have the body for it. Don't know which teen out of the group liked seeing me but i will take it as a compliment  not sarcasm that some people do.
Not to be negative from the positive experience she didn't say she liked my thong. Only my body and those parts shown, which is all good. Wasn't the best fitted thong i own being it has wide one inch sides. My muscleskins poser gets compliments. Just wondering is it the thong woman like or the body wearing it?

Way to go Mack_Back!

I've heard similar comments when I'm at the beach in my thong or g-string.

I always smile back and let them know I appreciate the compliment, something like a waive or a thumbs-up.

Positive feedback with nil comment.

Below Clovelly SLSC there is a concrete area adjacent to the water. There is a raised concrete ‘seat’ about one metre wide up against the retaining wall that is sheltered from the south westerly winds at this time of the year. On a sunny day, there are a handful of sunbathers and lap swimmers warming up after a swim, but mostly fully clothed ‘tourists’ having a short break from the coast walk or locals who come down to eat their lunch. The ‘seat’ is about 60m long and people tend to space themselves along it. If I’m there for a couple of hours, now that the weather is starting to warm up a bit, there will usually be several people come and go.

What’s really great is that they (male/female/old/young/singles/couples/small groups) will without a second thought sit down in a ‘gap’ adjacent to me and get on with whatever they had planned to do. The fact that I’m sunning in a g-string is totally irrelevant. Very encouraging.

After just laying out all summer, I decided to start strolling around the beach, to even out my tan. Got several nice comments, and made some in return. I've noticed that when I'm just laying out, I hear comments (positive, mostly) made between nearby others, but when I walk around, I get compliments made directly to me.

J_R_365, interesting observation, yet totally understandable, I think.  Standing and walking around, we're in 'meet-and-greet' mode,  but lying down, we're in 'respecting-each-others-space' mode, much less likely to be penetrated.  It takes more effort for the average person, who also knows it may be perceived as intrusive.  We're all mostly good people, and your observations verify that -- God bless us all, thongs and non-thongers alike.

Yea, more or less the comment, when I passed another thonger (male). A beach I seldom go to. He was very tanned, seemed he had been going there all summer as the only one.

When I lived in Hawaii I used to go to the same beach all the time and since it wasn’t a tourist beach you got to know others who frequented the beach, so one day as I was walking back to my towel after cooling off a lady who I saw regularly glanced at my crotch then looked at my face and said “I’m impressed, because that water is chilly “ then I just smiled and said thanks and went to my towel. A little while later as I was laying out the same lady came walking down the beach towards me carrying her beach bag. Then she asked if I minded if she joined me sunbathing. I said as long as you don’t mind me being naked which she laughed and said “that was the point of me walking all the way down here” she said “I liked your G-string then I saw you slip it off before you laid down” A little time passes and I have to turn not to burn and decide to cool off before sunbathing front side up, so I go to put on my g-string when the lady says “why bother, anyone this far down the beach should not be surprised to see you naked” so I asked her “would you like to join me for a swim “ she said I would love to but I don’t have a swimsuit and you don’t want to see me naked, but my daughter is single and she is coming to visit me in a few weeks.

Not really a comment but after I had swam my laps I went out of the pool and walked to an area where you can drink water. There a woman was standing and when she saw me her eyes turned big, I could see she was checking my suit out, both front and back. I think she was too busy checking my suit out to hide that she was looking at me. I was wearing a really cheeky suit that had gone up between my cheeks pretty good. She was wearing a bikini that covered the butt. I think it was funny the way she really looked at me. Not sure, but I think she liked what see saw.

Today I was digging up the grass that was starting to grow from my front yard into the road's blacktop. A couple who are neighbours walked by. I was wearing at g-string style thong. I said good morning. On their return walk the husband called out to complement me, saying I had courage and confidence. He said "I want to be like you when I grow up!"

Spending day at the nude beach wearing micro thong. One 20 something male came over alone while i was standing. Commenting he was watching from a distance you appear like a model. I took it as backhanded comment. Since he got closer and whatever he seen from distance shattered his outlook when approaching.. Late in the afternoon another man asked with sarcasm. Not training today? At first i was perplexed if i recognized him or misheard it as stock trading. He later said i have nice body must workout a lot. Do i compete seeing you having dark tan.   Shrugged it off embarrassed and clueless with the compliment. Only replying, got to give body a rest sometimes. Those that compete paint themselves to appear tanned. Knew he was trying to be be complimentary but anyon e in fitness industry would know i lack the physique to compete. Well at least in the men’s categories maybe women’s bikini or fit category might make the top 50. which be stretch.. Lol.. Problem finding stilettos  that fit my 9.5 size and hair extensions wig covering my only best asset muscular shredded back.

I take every positive compliment, comment and positive word for what it is. I’ve heard many in my years of wearing a thong. The other day it was about the color of my thong (shiny metallic green). The day before that was about how my thong matched perfectly my cover up pants. I’ve been told I rock (and you know it). I’ve been asked where I get my thongs. I’ve had women tell me they want their husbands and/or boyfriends to wear a thing but they never would. I’ve had comments about how good my butt looks in a thong. I always smile, thank the person for the compliment and more often than not end up in a friendly conversation. Some of those encounters have turned into friendships. A compliment is simply a good sign of comfort and friendly person. Even if it is awkward, that only because the person giving the compliment is unsure of how it will be received. Once they see a smile and hear. Friendly thanks things are usually all good.

I was going to post this in the "getting hit on" thread but it's actually just the opposite. More appropriate here. I first went nude in public at Haulover Beach about 30 years ago. My wife was already a nudist when we met 18 years ago and we've been card carrying nudists ever since. I thought being nude on a public beach would be exciting and quite sexual...but found out, for me, not as much as I thought it would be. Instead, I found it quite "freeing." Kind of the same way I feel when thonging at a public beach. About 15 years ago I went to Haulover, but I really wanted to walk to the beach from the parking lot, through the tunnel, in just a thong...something I hadn't had the guts to do, but thought I'd try. A little risky, I thought, since the drivers on A1A can see you as they pass. I got out of the car after getting my thong on, paid for parking, gathered my stuff then ventured toward the pathway. I ran into a couple of gay guys in Speedos ready to walk to the beach. I stopped to ask them if they thought it was ok to walk to the beach in just a thong. One, looking down at my thong, quickly replied, "No problem with us! You first. We'll follow THAT all the way!" I kept looking back and they kept smiling. I took it as a huge compliment. When we got to the beach, they went north, one blew me a kiss, and I went south. I loved the attention. Made my day. Bunz
