I also went scuba diving in a thong with no problems. San Andres is a great place to thong (watch your belongings at all times - lots of theft)

We went to spat bight Beach each day. The first day I wore a tan through micro brief from kiniki, and then desmitt thongs on the next two days. No issues at all. I actually overheard a lady tell her friend "he has a nice butt" in Spanish of course. After seeing a topless women on the fist day my wife went topless all three days as well. She only sunbathed topless and would put it on to go to the water or if the police were walking the beach. Great time overall.
