I had on a c-string that covered everything in front. There wasn’t anyone one else in front of the hotel but a woman in a thong, them , and me. When the cop showed up an approached me he said that a couple that had just left said there was a guy, me , exposing myself on the beach. I hadn’t done anything close to that.

Saw two girls in thongs and many in cheeky bottoms.
It is really not a big deal to wear thongs to the beach as some of us here make it.

Occasionally I see one or two other guys there in thongs but they are back by the harbor in the little dunes. I haven’t been there this year yet. I’m recovering from hamstring surgery right now. Several years ago I was interrogated by the police for about 5 minutes after someone reported that I was nude on the beach. There was a woman in a thong with buns up that they walked past to get to me and ask me for ID, etc. They did ask that I cover up or go to another beach. It was a weekday, late summer, and only about 10 people on the beach. When there's hardly anyone there you are pretty obvious. When there's only a few people around I usually go to Seabright Beach State Park. Never had an issue there. State Park Rangers don't really care. It's the local police that can be a pain.

Walking towards the beach from the stairs as I got closer to the water the first thing I noticed was that the first half dozen women I saw were in thongs or g-strings. I took a walk to the bathrooms and noticed fewer women in thongs. I went back by lifeguard station 3 which is now in front of the stairs and set up. It was 2:30 and there were quite a few people out. I didn’t feel uncomfortable laying out in a small barely there thong. Even felt comfortable going down to the water. Hopefully this will continue throughout the summer. |

There were way more thongs than I've seen before. One guy but lots of women. Several just walking the beach and walking up to the restroom in the smallest of thongs. First time I've seen a OPT in Santa Cruz!
Yesterday was at Seacliff with my sister and her grandkids. I just showed up for about 30 minutes. Not as many thongs as Seabright but still several women just walking up and down the beach in small thongs.
Hopefully, this bodes well for what summer may bring. |

The GF and I went down at 5:00 to walk around and have dinner. There were lots of women, young and older, in thongs and a few g-strings. I didn't see any guys in anything other than dork shorts.
Yesterday I went down to Seabright and I saw very few suits that weren't very cheeky or thongs.
Today, I'm going to the main beach after hitting the gym this AM. |

We went from downpours in March and April to overcast and fog in May and June. Yesterday's high was 62. Today is 64. Saturday is supposed to be the warmest beach day this year at 72. We've had a few nice days in the Santa Cruz Mountains, we've hit 80 once this year on a weekend and there were several women in thongs at the gym pool. That was the one and only nice pool day so far. On a good note we haven't had warm enough weather to be a fire threat. |

Last Thursday I went to Seabright and there were quite a few women in thongs, probably at least 1/3. I was by the water and there was several women in thongs around me. About 30 minutes before I left a very petite Asian woman with a 2 year old set up right in front of me. She had on a black thong with a sheer sarong. Very nice to look at while I was laying on my stomach. I saw one other male, a pretty burly guy with shaved chest, in a thong walking the beach.
Yesterday, low 80's, I went back to Seabright for the afternoon. Lots more thongs on the beach. It seems that now the kids are back into school and the tourists gone most locals feel more comfortable exposing their buns. I had on my smallest, tie dyed, g-string and walked the beach in the late afternoon. I got several smiles and "hello's" from women and even a few men. I also ran into the burly guy walking the beach. He had on a black Desmit thong. As he passed he said "Bro, I love your suit." He gave me a fist bump and said "We need to get more men in thongs out to the beach!".
Going back again today. |

It was on a Sunday and at first I was a little worried because it was a lot more crowded than I expected. However, it was a huge relief that there was absolutely no commotion at all about my thong. I had folks sitting right next to me and they never said a word. After I relaxed, I took a walk down to the water, and finally began a walk towards Monterey. It's a glorious stretch of sand and the number of people really grew. I think attention was directed mostly to some topless women, which was great. They were pretty athletic and were in thongs/g-strings. There were several! Sad to say, men were terribly overdressed. Even in full street clothes! WTF?
In any case I neglected to pack a lunch and after several hours was beginning to singe, so I left for lunch, and a drive home before Hwy 17 became too crazy.
It was a wonderful day. |

This last Thursday the waves were huge but the weather was in the 80's. I had to meet my wife in Santa Cruz so after running some errands I had an hour to spend at the beach before meeting her. I grabbed a couple of tacos by the boardwalk and went to Cowell's beach which is to the west of the pier in front of the Dream Inn. The waves were so big the water was coming up to the boardwalk! There was a small area in front of the Dream Inn that wasn't getting wave action. I set up there in my black thong. Since the area was small everyone was pretty packed in. You couldn't set up and not be 15 feet from the next person. There were lots of female UCSC students in thongs. Near me there was a woman in her 40's who was wearing a very small blue tie side adjustable (front and back) thong. She had a great looking round butt! After I got down to my thong and was eating the woman in the blue thong said something about the waves coming in and might having to relocate. We started talking and she asked if I come to this beach often. I told her I preferred Seabright because of being hassled by Santa Cruz city cops several years ago for wearing a thong on the beach, but because I was meeting my wife soon this beach was closer to where I was meeting her. She commented that if she could wear a tiny thong she saw no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to wear the same. We discussed the "double standard" that men face when wearing thongs and g-strings on the beach and pools. I told her that I always swim laps at my local gym in a thong. She said she was impressed by my having the courage to thong wherever I want and wished more guys would. After a while the waves started coming towards us and we had to move. When we moved she set her towel up by mine and we continued to talk until I had to leave. |

I would have to say that half of the women there had thongs on. I was the only guy in a thong. A Swirl Fashion tiny thong with very thin elastic sides. About an hour after I had set up there were three different women in thongs who set up close by. One setup about 15 feet behind me. She kept smiling at me. I think she liked the view. I even took a stroll down the beach in just my thong and hat. Was a good day to be out. |

What surprised me, even for Santa Cruz, was that I saw two women in tiny thongs walk into the Ideal Restaurant and bar in just their suits. It was a great day to be out. |

She wore her usual conservative tankini and I wore a minimal Swirlfashion string thong. We had setup by the water directly in front of the stairs and soon had several families around us so my suggested we move further towards the jetty. It wasn't too hot and had just enough of a breeze to stay cool. Even though the beach wasn't crowded there were lots of women in thongs. I was the only guy in one. |

My wife (I've known her for 15 years, married for 2.5) and I were talking about our favorite beaches and she says she always loved to go to the nude beaches about San Francisco. I was sort of shocked because she dresses conservatively. I asked if she would be up for going to a nude beach around Santa Cruz and she said of course. So if the warm weather holds out I guess we're going to a nude beach this week. |

There were quite a few people there seeing that it was the middle of the week in September. I was there a week ago and there probably wasn't a dozen people on the whole beach. Lot's of thongs and I wasn't the only guy in a thong today. I went into the water several times and even did a beach walk a couple of times. I had a small g-string on which got a few smiles and a couple of "Hello's" from a two young women in tiny thongs. When I left at 7:00 it was still 101.
It's my wedding anniversay tomorrow and we are going to the beach. I just hope it cools off a bit. |

My wife and I got held up at a doctor appointment yesterday. We both had our thongs on and by the time we got to the beach it was after 4 and the wind was gusting pretty good and the fog was sitting right on the water so it was too cold. I will be out there today. I'm getting back surgery tomorrow so it's my last chance to get some sun before being laid up for a few months. |
