mack_back, Thanks for the reply. I just took a guess that it was likely to be a Florida beach. We have nudist clubs, but no beach set aside for nude use. It sounds like you may see that young woman again. Funny that she has several different colors of that suit, yet still seems nervous wearing one. I wouldn't have said anything to her if she appeared so nervous, I suppose. You gave her a nice compliment and she thanked you, so she may think you're OK on her next visit. Maybe she will be more talkative! Those bright colors have to look amazing against her dark skin. I saw one lady whose skin was so dark, it almost looked black. I had to look a second time to convince myself it was very dark brown. She and a friend were walking through the parking lot. I took a long look at the dark-skinned lady's bright orange suit. I put my cooler in my car (the ice had melted) and got money for a drink. After I locked the door, I looked at them and the one with the very dark skin had a g-string back. She was very slender and had long legs. Pretty much flat chested, but I didn't care at all because her top was the smallest I've ever seen to this day. I don't know how her areolae weren't showing -- that's how narrow her top was! Hottest suit I've ever seen on a woman at that beach. I agree that some people don't seem to realize their comments can be overheard. As you mentioned, they seem to be fascinated with things that are "foreign" or different for them. Things they never considered doing themselves seem to challenge their minds to make sense out of what they're seeing. It can be very funny to see their reactions!

Da6772: I feel some gals don't feel comfortable talking to me or looking since i wear unique or very extreme beachwear. Ladies have the uncomfortable feeling when talking to nude guy like myself. They can't help themselves not to be distracted with my nudity. Let alone have civil chat. More i think about the gal at the beach she probably wants to be the center of attention guy like me often gets in the way or over shadows her.

If i see her again i will mention she looks amazing with her body and thong. If she feels slightly guilty she may stop and receive more exaggerated compliments. If she feels this weirdo (me) is hitting on her, it may change her outlook visiting the beach.   Have to be careful not to stalk her or give the feeling i'm waiting to say something. If she dismisses my compliments i will get the message to stay away. Even a thumbs up and smile might help if she looks my way. If she is nervous on the beach doubt my gesture will be ignored.  Either way i won't lose any sleep over it, since observing gal with her nipples covered slightly not to mention her vagina very little material to walk along in always watching herself not to have things come undone or show more than she wants.

What would be great is have thong shot of us both posing together with gal with one piece thong. Or better yet strolling along the beach together for everyone to observe out extreme thong slings. Doubt that would ever happen gal would be to freaked out talking to freak like me let alone strolling the beach together.

mack_back, Most ladies are taught not to look at the male body when growing up, I would say. Even some grown women are shocked at my thong, so I can imagine some would be awkward when talking to a nude male. And then some young women seem to be intrigued by my thong, as if they didn't know there was any type of suit besides board shorts. (I wonder if they think, "Look at what we've been missing all these years.") And then some ladies immediately "dig it". There was a young lady with her boyfriend a few summers ago and I passed them and went into the water. She and her boyfriend went into the water and she said she liked my suit. As we were talking, I could tell she was a real spitfire, if you know what I mean. I wonder if her boyfriend had picked up on that. (I told her that her suit with multi strings reminded me of a dancer's outfit back in the '90s. She said something like, "Oh, we like the dancers!") I don't know how long they had been dating, but he's in for a surprise if they get intimate, unless I miss my guess. (When I showed her the tanlines on my side as the main reason I had started to wear thongs years ago, she seemed to "get" another advantage of thongs. She really thought those tanlines were great.) It's hard to tell what that lady on your c/o beach really wants. Center of attention? Well, she has several of those suits in different colors, so she must wear them fairly often. Yet, she seems nervous or shy. I guess a compliment is OK, since she said "Thanks", even if she didn't want to turn around to say it and kept walking. At least she didn't say anything bad toward you. So, there's hope! If women, especially with all the internet sites, don't know they'll run into people with "body jewelry" on a c/o beach, I guess they didn't do their homework! Do they expect everybody to be wearing conventional swimsuits at such a beach? It's puzzling to me that she still seems so nervous. If there's a little slip of the microsuit and some part is uncovered, does it really matter at a c/o beach? You've got more experience at a c/o beach than I do, so you may as well let your knowledge and instinct tell you how to proceed. I'm afraid I don't have any better ideas than that. Good luck!

Not taking into account my first experience of wearing brief swimwear and later regressing due to finding about bout people's attitude about them, I put of wearing briefs for so long.

Then several years down the line I just felt I'd been conditioned by all the attitudes but eventually wanted to start wearing briefs again. It was a step by step process, I convinced myself that if I learned how to swim then I could justify wearing speedo style briefs. But even before I'd learned how, I switched to briefs from boxer brief type trunks.

It's funny looking back how I was wearing briefs with 4-5 inches sides and felt somewhat exposed and couldn't muster what it took to wear them. I would generally pack my briefs and boxer briefs (tried swim shorts just ONCE or twice) and would go by the how busy the pool was and how I felt. It was exhilarating but anxiety ridden at the same time. From that I went to just packing my briefs only, which would force me to use them or not use the pool at all.

From that even wearing a suit which was slightly smaller, snugger and 3 inches on the side felt scandalous. From that I gotten even smaller briefs (kiniki micro briefs), or special cut ones from aliexpress which were very small in the front etc etc. Then I started wearing rios (which looking back now was only slightly rio backed, I gotten others since which were narrower) and remember how I wouldn't even be able to imagine the day I might be able to or courageous enough to wear them.

I remember one time I had them on and went to the pool and then a bunch of the gym staff and lifeguard was congregated to the way out and I didn't have the nerve to get out of the pool and walk back. I kinda stayed but eventually needed to leave so got out and kinda anxiously troddled past them which I guess showed a lot of nerves and anxiety. That or only having the nerve to wearing my rio suit out to the sauna which was kinda shielded from view and reluctantly changing into them when the sauna and change rooms were relatively empty.

Fast forward to wearing my smallest suit with a rio back (not fully rio again) but wearing it completely in the pool and going to the sauna, which at this point was moved away from the changing rooms and out past the pool which meant walking in view of everyone, including the gym which was separated by glass walls. And from there, walking around the long way past the lifeguard back to the changing room. I've only ever since worn the fully rio backed ones previously in a pool which is very secluded and kinda quiet at times very early in the weekends.

And that suit was front and back lined and completely secure and snug. To wearing ones which were lighter and narrower still and walking out into the common area where a woman there had her eyes clearly glued to my swimwear for a good few seconds and then later on was in the sauna as well.

After that everything was kinda muted for a while as I wasn't interested in the pool much anymore... for some reason I guess the excitement and fullness I felt when wearing briefs had dissipated, due to either age or weariness. And I stopped feeling the thrill. Also the pool which once had plenty of gorgeous women in interesting bikinis and nice cut one pieces dwindled down to older ladies who just seemed to float and older and younger men in their 3/4 length pants.

Fast fast foward to the recent present. I had this overwhelming urge to get back to the pool and this time in a thong and I was thinking i'd slowly work my way with my smallest rio suits and then thong, but the night before I just decided to go for it... and like that I just went out when pools were reopened and stepped out on my first day in a thong in a moderately packed pool in front of everyone, completely reassured and neither flaunting nor hiding myself, just completely natural and open. Even passed the reception (which was on the way to the change rooms) and women gathered there or people coming in. With a mix of older, younger and men and women. I've since gone to the beach twice in a thong, mind you it's part nudist, but I have been to nude yoga before and nude pool swims but trust me I was much more concerned about being seen in a thong even with the nudists and wouldn't even change into them or hurry if I did to cover it up.

From that I've gone to going to a few more pools and changing into my clothes without hiding my thong (which is kinda funny, considering I'd been out in the pool in front of everyone in a swim thong, but then some part still creeps up making you feel odd for putting on a thong in the change room? Go figure) It's gotten somewhat normalised for me though but I'm still waiting to hit a few more different pools. The one I'm signed up to has clauses about only having "conventional swimwear" in the contract and on the sign up in the gym area. Although in the pool area it just says to be modest in the sauna (i.e. wear your swimsuit and not nude)

Da6772: I get it females are often surprised at my thong and yes i agree they don't know anything else male should wear other then dork shorts. That deer caught in headlights stare mouth open not knowing to smile or be confused, yet both reactions happen.

Not to be stereotyping,  most people in black community find a thong on a man silly, or ridiculous, not serious form of beachwear or underwear. The gal i seen in one piece thong believe she was later spotted that afternoon on the beach changed from the orange thong. Seen a couple together white skinny guy nude wearing costume head covering like a mascot of eyeball. The black gal body resembled the thonging gal, he was arm and arm strutting along the shoreline together. She was topless and wearing cheeky modest black bikini bottom covered with the head mask covering eyeball like counterpart male. Some people stopped to chat with regards to there bizzare head covering walking the beach. As they came closer to me i watched them carefully but wasn't positive if the thonging gal was the same gal earlier. Although watched her carefully she kept adjusting her modest tight fitting bikini bottoms which gave me clue she was hesitant with her appearance.

So i conclude the two gals were the same thonging earlier with huge afro that was probably a wig. Then later wearing the eyeball head, face covering. Doubt if the gal had real afro hairstyle she would be able to fit in the costume eyeball covering.  I began to think the thonging gal was using the clothing optional beach as testing ground for her artistic fashion design for reaction and practice for  amatueur runway model design presentation. Have no doubt she was using the beach to gain confidence for modeling her shock design art. We all know fashion runway designers need to shock people to watch there clothing line that they introduce. Sometimes nudity is used to mix up the monotony of boring clothes, thus the head eyeball idea and sexy string one piece thong. The black gal wasn't typical model but she was fairly tall 5' 9"- 5'10" body wasn't super lean but average size.

With all the changing from her thong to basic bikini bottom giving her courage to maybe do it in indoor fashion show at another time.
Not the first time i seen people change into 3 or 6 different thong costumes when on the beach so to watch peoples reactions.
The black gal was just using the beach to gain experience that some day she maybe better equipped to walk on a runway topless, or in one piece thong without fear.

Clothing optional beach can give people lots of confidence if they walk nude on busy crowded beach. Any inhibitions disappear and taking your clothes off can bring better confidence in doing solo presentations or public speaking.  When you have fear talking to large crowd often is said imagine the crowd naked. While truth is the reverse act as your naked and people are listening to your speech. Just like being nude on the beach or wearing skimpy thong you begin to feel at ease and gain confidence in many aspects in your life.

As for spitfire type fun gal you met i understand fully well her lifestyle.  Met some of the same gals myself them being single. When i watch these gals by chance greet a young male, i often think to myself poor guy, he has no idea what he is getting himself into.

Anyway i will keep eye, no pun intended with black thong queen at the beach. Try to encourage her thonging and support her nude topless ways. Feel i got feel of background about this  black gal that i may start to plant the seed in her mind. Telling her public nudity will bring her more confidence in workplace and in her life. She will become less shy or self-conscious about people looking, judging. Don't know what more encouraging words i can add if i meet her again. Nonetheless i will stay positive maybe she will begin to trust me as helpful kind male. Who knows one summer we both may go for a beach walk nude togetther.

mack_back, Well, your latest report was certainly interesting. I think you're right that she has something in mind and is testing out the outfit in public. That headgear would sure draw attention! I hope you do get to talk (and later walk) with the "thong queen". If she likes to talk freely to strangers, you might get some juicy stories! Have fun and good luck!

A facebook friend said "i wish i was cool. i really, really wish i was cool." My Reply: The real cool is the self confidence of not caring what other people think of you. Leaders in fashion often wear unusual or outrageous things that others think are strange or weird, until others think "that's kooky and cool, I will too." You don't automatically become cooler with age, but you do care progressively less about being cool - Which is the only true way of being cool. You are not cool if you copy cool people. You are cool if you have the self confidence to do what ever you want and wear what ever you want without worrying what other people think. Self-confidence can be self-taught. Try pushing yourself out of your comfort zone until you feel more relaxed beyond your current boundaries. Do things that scare you. Spend your weekends on the nude beach, after a few visits you be more comfortable in your own skin. Ride bicycles at night with the wild boys. Go paddle boarding. Learn to sky dive. Go on solo hikes. Learn to scuba dive. Join a running group. Do things outside your current comfort zone and learn new skills.
