I have also worn the suit doing laps in a pool and it stayed in place, just don't get too agressive with a flip turn or try diving in with it on or you will not be wearing anything. The suit also stays put when walking and is very comfortable to wear.

That way I can make a long strap from stretch cord and wear it as a slingshot. After reading this thread, I tried simply removing one of the side straps so that it is a one-sided thong. It works great! Stays on doing everything except diving or swimminng fast. The strap can easily be moved from one side to the other by simply unhooking either the front or back and moving it to the other side of your waist and hooking it again.

Neither stay in place for vigorous swimming as well as a well fitted stringless baggie does.

Your last observation is why I've combined the baggie hold with the single strap look (avoiding- hey he's naked!) sort of the G string approach to the coachclass thong approach. When fitted right the strap moved around or dangling around the thigh it's as good as a baggie and more accepted. |

Seems to be a good idea, but I haven't tried it out often enough yet to know if it is a VERY good idea. There are also skin adhesives for skimpy suits, but I haven't gotten any to try.

LOVE THEM. Went to the gym for a work out on one, and all was good, was a little apprehensive that it would be round my ankle after my run or cross trainer but no, stayed in place great, no problem in the weight room either, didn't have the courage to go for a swim in it though, Joe Snyder capri is the smallist i will dare, thongs are a little frowned on, even on the girls, think this one would have had my membership cancelled! Worn it to work all day today and as a tree surgeon am very active, again no problems, no slipping, very comfortable.
A little strang to put on, only pulling it up one leg, will take a little getting used to, but looks fantistic, a must have addition to any collection in my veiw, and good for every day wear, just can't wait to get it on the beach. |

The idea of wearing one occasionally sounds like fun, though I'm not sure that position would be all that comfortable. At the gym, you must have worn loose shorts over top, right?

My gym would have thrown me out if i did not have shorts on, as i said, they frown on the girls in thongs in the pool let alone men working out in them !!!! lol. I did get a couple of looks in the locker room though, which i loved, must be the show off in me! (will definatly be wearing them again) as for tan lines i can't wait, get rid of the triangle at the back and just have one leg band, unique! whilst still covered where needed.
One thing i forgot to add in my earlier post, as the picture shows, you do need to be completly shaved, this thong only just covers you!!! |

You can find the link on their website, just google it. You get two asymetrical thongs and can even vary the color. The pouch size is customizable.
I have to laugh at all that Vizeau stuff. Does anyone actually wear that gear? It looks like it wouldn't fit well at all... |

You could wear both sides , the solid side or the sheer side depending on the situation. I realize you can't easily go from the solid side only to the sheer side only without "unhitching" your junk and putting it in the other pouch.
Might be cool to have one side a string ring without fabric, the other solid fabric pouch and you'd be able to free yourself of the solid pouch when possible, or add a sheer baggie to remain barely legal! |

It's a bit of a two handed affair!! and really not that noticeable to others around you, (except the fact you are now wearing your 1/2 thong over the other hip!) I often wear both sides of this style, making it look like a conventional thong (in different colours) and if circumstances allow, loose the left hand side, I have to admit I don't swap sides anymore as I enjoy the unique tan line only one side gives. I used to swap sides a lot, because my then GF was not keen on thong tan-lines and it was a good way of getting rid of them. I'm not one for sheer fabrics, so have not tried that element of your idea, but I'm sure it would work, you just need a sheer side to the suit......so go for it.. The PAU1 from Jovana http://www.flickr.com/photos/63256998@N08/6191036563/in/photostream and http://www.flickr.com/photos/63256998@N08/6130590346/in/photostream is a lot easier to work with, because your "guys" are not restricted in a pouch, there is no "unhitching" so to speak, you just slip on the other side of the thong, to change sides, pull it into position and a 2 second adjustment and hay presto your all done..... You can then remove the original side and your swapped..... I do have an old black wet look suit in this style that has lost it's "wetlook coating" and become very sheer, it's so well made that the suit still fits perfectly!! I wouldn't wear it in public coz that's just not my thing but it is a lot of fun in other places!! Have a word with Muscleskins or Jovana, I'm sure they would make you either of these suits with 1/2 of it in a sheer fabric...... Good luck and enjoy!! Cheers Paul |

A few years ago I tried single-sided. The first, muscleskins, did not stay in place well at all. The second, and last, was from the "Mishko" or "coach class" internet store. I got mine in good time, but I've seen complaints about poor service since. The Mishko one-sided stays in place much better than the Muscleskkins, because it allows for going, not 12 o'clock, but about 2 o'clock, which much enhances stability. The muscleskins tries to do the stick-out-pouch thing, which would be fine it it stayed put. In any case, after a half dozen beach appearances going one-sided, I tired of it all, mostly because even the Mishko one-side needs a lot of hitching up. For standing still for a photo taking a minuite or so, either will do.

Re：Single Sided / One Side thongs Date Posted：05/20/2013 12:43:30Copy HTML Since having this style of suit brought to my attention through this thread some 4 years ago I would say 80% of my under and swim/tanning wear draw is now of the one-sided or semikini variety, I now wear them exclusively for tanning when circumstances allow, and probably 90% of the time as underwear, I think there are by far the sexiest style of suit out there!
I have two main types of this style, the pouch front........ Mainly from Jovana but have others from StarwearUSA, and Muscleskins's X2. Your "boys" are pushed out front and you are at a 6 o'clock position, hence on "display" a little, I tend to only wear this style in more secluded/quieter areas. It is a great suit to wear both sides of, giving a conventional thong look when both sides are worn together, you can then take off either side leaving the rather unique one-sided look! The side strap/string can be worn anywhere from high on the hip, over the hip bone, to low on the thigh as described in the previous post. The fact the pouch kinda holds everything in place allows for plenty of side strap adjustment hence ridding you of tanlines. The flatter styling of the non pouch style, the Jovana PAU1 (my profile picture) or coachclass equivalent is by far and away my most favourite style suit. It is a little more conservative in my opinion, not quite so "in your face" I'd wear this style in any place I'd wear a normal thong. Your "old chap" sits at 10 or 2 o'clock depending on which hip you wear it over, doubling up is not as easy with this style because your "old chap" sorta lays up your hip and as it can only lay up one hip at a time wearing both sides is a little tricky!!! When you drop your shorts it's a case of showing your uniqueness all in one go!!! One suit can be worn over either hip Just love the one hip tanline this suit gives, guys in the locker room can't work it out!!!! Regards PAUL |

(be careful, the size that fit a few months ago will no longer fit). I have found that ISwim http://iswim.tw/ now has a one-sided suit. I ordered a pair along with a few low-rise bikinis and they are great! Hint, if you are between M and L here, order the XL from them.

I had one group of women request pictures and another came up to me while I was walking past, complimented me, and we had a brief conversation. They are good replacements for the discontinued X-2.

Probably not very high quality, but I thought I'd try a couple. I don't think this style will stay up on me very well, but for $8 each, I figure I can't lose much. |

I have put mine on my sewing pile and some time in the future I might get around to adding a thin strap on the missing side to make the suit work. It has nice thin stretchy fabric that will make it a good asymmetric thong once a thin second strap is added. But if you don't want to do some alterations, if you want something that works right out of the packet I suggest you skip this suit. |

I don't think I will feel comfortable enough wearing just one of these to my medical appointments, but together, it will appear to be a "normal" thong, albeit with different materials.
@JM: I figure these will likely not stay put, but what the heck. Maybe they will stay up better when there is a left and right side worn together? |
