Being a one-sided thong freak :-)  it is my most favourite style, I bought a 4 pack of these suits from China through Aliexpress, yes, they are cheap and yes, you get what you pay for. They do not stay in place as well as other company's, (Jovanna, Robert Carey, Thongbiker, or Coachclass's) offerings, however I think they are a nice little addition to my collection. They are not quite the same design as other offerings out there, the pouch is a little fuller with a flap like addition to one side, my experiance is they stay in place well if you are just laying out sunning but will slip if you move around to much!!!
@ JM.Runs and others thinking of this style.....The secret of this style is two fold, 
1, wear it with yourself at 10 o'clock, so to speak, there is more than enough room in the hip strap to keep your "chap" covered that way there is also plenty of "boys" room. 
2. Slip on a bubber or silicon c*** ring first, not only dose this help hold the pouch over your boys but you can use the ring to secure the side flap by tucking it in so to speak! This way you get 100% coverage and a very secure suit. I've even swam in it secured this way with absolutly no problems, no need to get the sewing kit out to add an extra side string and lose the unique one-sided look!

@ Dorefan....... You say you ordered both sides, left and right? Is this the "Jok" style?  I was under the impression this was a left hip suit only, mine are. You would have to wear it inside out for it to sit over the right hip.  Much as I like this suit I would prefer a right hip choice, just to maintain my tanline more than anything else, so at the moment I only wear them as underwear or to showoff my right hip only tanline! :-) 


As a final note to everyone thinking of going down this rather unique style route from the Chinese "jok" makers, the suits are made of quite thin nylon/lycra material, the blue and red options are quite seethru even when dry a little worse when wet, the black is fine dry but a little seethru wet, the white, well, that's totally seethru dry and not worth wearing wet!!!!! Needless to say white is my colour of choice!!! LOL

 @ Dorefan.......thanks for the link, without doubt that eBay seller has both sides, I was informed from the guy I bought from on Aliexpress that only a left hip was available, either JQK  has started making the right hand side or the guy on Aliexpress just didn't stock them at my time of ordering, Either way I will be ordering some of the right handers asap.... You must let me know how you get on with them. They are a great little lightweight addition to my onesided collection and worn as described in my post above, give good coverage and comfort, I'm now looking forward to putting the two sides together for a nice deep "V" front and rear looking thong, the ability to be able to slip one side off once I hit my tanning spot or in the bedroom  is always a turn on for me :-)

I have a JQK thong, which I wore to SunSplash in July. I was able to keep it on, but it definitely wasn't the best fit. Will probably try a different asymmetrical thong in future, because I really liked the look

Looks like Koala has joined the one sided thong. Their new line up just came out and they have a plain black one sided thong available now. I'm not a big fan of Koala, mainly because their stuff is just too far out there, and I hate all those straps they have hanging off all their suits.
Still waiting for my JQK version to arrive. 

 Thanks for the link to the Koala one-sided suit it looks good. I have a few Koala suits and there quality is good, I to am not a fan of anything too strapy, not my thing, I do have a few of there more daring/risqué  suits but they look like a perfectly normal thong or bikini when worn. 
By the look of things it's for the left hip only, i prefer to wear mine on the right hip,  Don't want to mess up the existing tan-line!!!

Sadly at $32 a pop, I think I'll be giving them a miss, my JQK ones from Aliexpress were $3.3, and even my custom made ones by a local seamstress work out at about $12.5 so at 3-10 times the price + shipping its gonna be an expensive suit!!! :-)

I'm looking forward to getting my JQK's for the right side, (made a bulk order and not only got them cheaper but also got free shipping!!!) the lefts fit really well and are made really nicely, well stitched and even seamed, lovely lightweight material that is just a tad sheer when dry, worse when it's wet!! But hey-ho, I'll be carefull where I wear them:-)  and at $3.3 each not to worried if one or two fall by the way side to the tanning oil :-)

I finally received the JQK one sided thongs. I bought a red right side, and a blue left side. As I suspected, they don't stay on very well.  A few steps and it starts working loose. It does seem to stay on better when I have both sides on together. I've uploaded some pics to show how they fit. Tho not very practical for public use, it was an inexpensive novelty. I'm contemplating as to whether I will have the courage to wear them during my massage appointments My massage therapists are all accustomed to seeing me in very tiny thongs and slingshots. 
I also bought some short shorts from Erogenous. Tho they are interesting, I don't now if I would wear them in public. I may wear them in my back yard where neighbors may see me. They look more like underwear than shorts. Who knows? I may wear them to wash my car or for working in the yard. I've uploaded pictures of them as well.
 

 I have one of the JQK one side thongs too.  Does not stay put. Useless. I have added it to my pile of sewing to be done. One day I will add a thin bright strap to the other side.  Probably something like a thin spaghetti strap in contrasting color.

There are a group of women down here from New Jersey that I met standing in a refreshment stand line today that would disagree with you. I was wearing a yellow JQK one sided thong (right) at the time and they told me that it was the sexiest and best looking swimwear that they had seen.
I have been wearing both JQK and ISwim one-sided thongs for a few months (finally found replacements for the X-2) and have not had any problem laying out and walking around. I posted a few pics on my Flickr site (bmicro2000). They are fun to wear and have gotten great comments.

 Tried one yesterday. Took a bit of adjusting to keep the boys in.  Not good for playing in the surf but does well lying around and gentle strolls.
Caused a few a few people to do double takes when they weren't quite sure what they saw!

As my pictures and recent posts in this thread show I'm a lover of  the one-sided style. I  strive to find companies that make this unique style to keep my collection fresh and up to date..  Since Jovana gave up making the PAU1, my favourite suit, I am on the constant lookout for a company that will make a replacement of equal or better quality at reasonable cost, I think at last I have found one. At present they only make the left hip side of the suit, however I have persuaded  them into making me a trial of the right side (my side of choice)  They are sending me over a trial suit to try and subsequent to my quality control (very high I might add) have given me the option to make a bulk order. 
The minimum order will be 100 suits in one colour, a little more than I can use, well in the same colour at least, lol. They will be in a lightweight Lycra material, from the suits I  have from this vendor, they are well made and evenly stitched, they will look the same as my avatar picture. Coz of there construction and the way the suit sits there is no "spillage" issues, (I wear this style daily in a very active job and at the gym and don't have problems)     so my question is are there any guys out there that would be interested in buying a few? I'm not looking at making any profit out of this I'm just looking at covering costs, to help me out buying so many, I will probably go for white or black, depending on how much interest I get, and people's preferences,  I think each suit will work out at about £3 or $5 & postage, if they work out less after import duty and carriage I'll let you know. Drop me a PM if anyone is interested?

What don't you like about Jovana's JP4D?

 @ bmicro..... I love the JP4D, ever since I asked Jovana to try and make the style for me by crossing the PAU1 with her 4D thong design I have loved the results, so much so I treasure the very first one she made and only wear it on special occasions :-) (its the "tropical" print design in my photos) 
I do however think the design lends itself to the "bulge or not bulge" debate, when I'm wearing this style I feel the boys are pushed out a little to far for a lot of situations, don't get me wrong I wear them whenever I feel I  can and feel comfortable doing so,  but as the style is a little OTT I am careful. The PAU1 design,with the exception of the super slim,  is more discrete, there is no bulging  so to speak, and I  wear this style in any situation where I feel a standard thong would be appropreate, and since I tend to tan in these areas I'm looking to stock up on this design.
It's such a shame Jovana no longer makes this suit, I'd be a customer again for sure if she did!

Let me know who makes the suits that you are ordering the right side for. I would be interested in ordering a right (or two) from you and a left from them. I would prefer a more colorful suit, perhaps blue or red to make them more universally desirable.
I am beginning to share your fondness of the one-sided suit. I have been wearing them here for the past few weeks and have gotten some very complimentary comments. They are as unique as a sling without carrying the unfortunate Borat connotation.

Paul: Won't Jovana custom make more of the  PAU1 for you? 

I emailed asking that exact same question about 8 months ago and got a very curt message back from the guy that now does her customer support, put rather rudely I was told she no longer did custom work and wasn't prepared to do it either, as an old customer and having bought probably 50 odd of her suits I had hoped to be let down with a little more gently. I totally understand if she is busy and not doing custom stuff anymore but the manner in which I was told i felt was a little harsh! Subsequently I will not give her any more of my hard earned £££'s , there are many suppliers out there making equally as good if not better suits and I've gotta admit I'm kinda having fun tracking them down and getting the free samples!! LOL. Times are hard and there are plenty of firms willing to help with what I'm looking for, it's just the one I think I'm going for has a MOQ of 100 units......... Guess I'm not going to be short of  PAU1 style suits for a while!!! LOL 

This summer, ever since the TOWIE boys appeared in Malaga in one-sided things, I have seriously renewed my interest in one-sided suits and have worn them a lot this summer. I have found that they have stimulated more positive comments than any other style, including women coming up to me with a comment like "I love your suit, it is so sexy" or "that's a  great suit, you are the boldest man on the beach".
I have learned a bit about wearing them as well
A C ring is  essential
The suits with a wide strap (like the JQK and Mishko suits) are best worn with "it" up. I find that I can spend the day in them and not have any issues, either with the suit staying on or negative responses. I even have a few more of these on order. The JQK suits that are designed for use on the right tend to be made of a leather-like fabric and are less stretchy. This makes it more difficult to have them grip and stay on.
The suits with a narrow strap (I-swim, Jovana, etc) have a tendency for the strap to roll down (not slide). This can be cured by letting it roll down, pulling it up and letting it roll down again (or even forcing it a bit) until it is twisted tightly and can't roll anymore. Pull up the suit and it will stay as long as you wear it. Most of the  suits, whether named or pictured as right or left, can be worn either way.

 Its great to hear Bmicro you've had so many positive comments and such wonderful experiences while renewing your interest in the one-sided thong.  



As my previous comments in the relevant threads, and my album pictures show, I too am a lover and advocate of the one-sided thong. Its just so sexy and unique........... best design ever!!! 


With it's totally unique style of fit, it was no wonder, with a passion like mine to seek out and be seen wearing ever more daring  styles I felt compelled to try them. That was 6 or 7 years ago now after reading on this board about the ones  Mishko at Coachclass was producing, I immediately checked out his website and without hesitating ordered 2...... With their arrival and trying them on, my love affair with the design began. Ever since in my quest for ever briefer variations I've found and had made some wicked little suits. These days I seldom wear anything else, either as underwear or tan/swimwear,  


I'm not sure yet if the Towie boys have done for the style what Borat did for the slingshot and ridiculed it in the eyes of the press, only time will tell, but quite honestly I don't care! I was 6 years in front of them, LOL, and having heard only one negative comment along the way and many hundred positive one's I'm not going to change my attire any time soon!   



Agreed, a C-ring is absolutely essential in helping keep certain makers style of the suit on, e.g,  the suits designed to cover you and your equipment when in the up position, such as the JOK by JQK,  the ring giving the suit better chance of grip, so to speak. Some designs such as the JP4D by Jovana don't really require one to stay on properly but sure look better when worn with one! I'm sure you know what I mean!  (Discretion required!) 


Agreed, the rolling issue can be a annoyance but like you I do exactly the same thing, bonus I find is this gives a nice pouch front suit with narrow hip strap, very sexy look! 


For the past 4 years I've exclusively worn variations of the one-sided thong for tanning in and without any question of a  doubt I've received many, many more complementary comments than I ever did when I was wearing a standard thong, so when the "Towie" boys got such poor press for wearing theirs, from the comments I've heard while wearing mine, I was a little surprised.  


I've heard "sexy suit", "how good I look wearing that",  "how brave I am to expose so much of myself",  even "god your c*** looks sexy in that tiny "thing" your wearing!"  my smaller more risqué versions seeming to attract the most comments!  

So keep up the good work promoting the style Bmicro and do as I do, enjoy the admiration you receive. As for everyone else go buy yourself one and try them out, you won't regret it. 



P.S. thanks for the heads up on I-Swim Bmicro, I hadn't realised they were now producing one-sided styles......... My order is already in!!!!!  (Their slingshots look a bit bang sexy too! Any feed back on them by any chance?)

I have been experimenting with various manufacturers of the one-sided suits. I much prefer the wide strap suits that are worn "up". They are very comfortable and have few problems with staying on. I found a suit by OH YEAH! on Aliexpress. It is inexpensive and fits  well.

I tried ordering a Mishko suit and have discovered that they are having serious order fulfillment problems. The first order was reported shipped but the tracking number supplied showed that it hadn't for a full week. When I finally got it, it was comfortable, but a bit baggy. When I decided to give them a second chance and ordered another suit in a smaller size, they charged my card but placed the order on "Backorder". No communication for two weeks!

I found a UK company, Clothes to Pose, and ordered two. This is one of the few companies (Mishko is the only other one that I know of and they have lost their chance, see above) where there is a good selection of print fabrics available. I ordered two, an M and an L. They are great! They both fit well, are comfortable and look incredibly sexy. Wore one yesterday and was overwhelmed by all of the positive comments that I received! I recommend their one-sided suits highly!

 I've had a few custom made, most are string side, like half a V string.  I got quick releases at the front so I can change sides out in pubic well out in public.  A couple are made to be self retaining so I can unhitch and even walk around.One thing I learned is it's good to have some grip in the pouch.  So one of them has what I call a sac ring which is attached to the back of the bottom of the pouch, quite a small elastic ring goes around your sac above the ballz and holds the back of the suit in place well so there's no tug to the side necessary.   Two others have internal C rings of elastic which hold the pouch on.I was thinking of getting the half bikini style in tan thru mesh with a sac or C ring built in.  Would look cool too with a contrasting color band for the other hip you could wear out to the beach.I like how some of bmicro's suits hoist the shaft up at a 45 degree angle along the waistband.  Might try to anchor that look with an internal ring over there or a strap from top to bottom inside that waistband keeping the head from falling out until I want it to at least.  Well there's another idea for a Haulover custom suit with a slot for my head to come out and tan!
About beach experiences I 've worn them on South Beach too with great response- see other posts around about my semikinis.  Because of my defined abs and the cut lines at my pubes the chicks really loved having one side completely bare.  They love to take photos and some have after asking run their hands along the bare waist skin!  Glad I had the pouches made large enough!!

 I was playing around experimenting in a private locale the other day and discovered a one sided concept I hadn't thought of before!  I had  a G string with a somewhat long pouch, so I put both sides of the waistband together up my one leg.  The pouch cradled the C and B to one side, the strings were long enough to pull up to my waist , but felt better down on my thigh.   I could wear this walking, etc.  Left my waist on that side bare the whole other side bare.  The pouch which would allow me to wear at 12 oclock now held me at 9 or 10.  The tunnel effect even allowed my head to poke out if I wanted.  Will consider wearing this at a very liberal pool setting soon.

This week all of the comments from the ladies focused on their opinion that the suit is “fashion” or on the “cutting edge”. I have read many of the negative reviews in the tabloids about Bobby Norris and friend appearing with the TOWIE case in one. However, they appear to be merely the sensationalist writings of columnists. I have had a total of five ladies (two from Argentina, one from Brazil, one from Denmark and one from New York) come up to me this week and tell me how sexy and fashionable my asymmetric thong is. One even asked for a picture with her (see my Flickr site). B micro: tempted to buy one but reviews i read were negative. Although it would be fun to wear on the beach believe i will stay with my poser muscleskins thong. One sided thong would be a conversation piece glad you gotten so many good responses . 
Aware of the tabloid blog remarks about the guys photos in one sided thong. Any thong they wore would carry the same negative response. Only if they wore a full speedo it just would be laughter but no real outrage of their fashion sense. 
Either way people accept your clothing or not. Can't effect what you want to wear. If negative responses scares you from wearing what you want truly your wishy washy without character not an attractive trait.

No matter what style of thong those boys had worn the press and others would have had something negative to say about their fashion sense, I'm not sure that because it was the tiny one-sided style that they went for they got more flak or not, but I'm guessing so. 

It was great to see them wear their suits with such confidence and conviction. I've seen way better looking boys with much better bodies wearing thongs and not be able to pull it off like those 2 did, and why? Coz they lacked confidence in what they were wearing! Like you say "wishy washy" not a good trait.

Yes the Towie boys brought this style to the forefront of awareness and fashion, however as the age of thread shows, one-sided thongs are not a new thing. I first posted on this thread back in August '08. I subsequently bought 2 suits off "coachclass" and TOTALLY fell in love with this unique style...... to say I haven't looked back would be an understatement!!! I'd say 80% of my underwear draw is of the one-sided style,  and as they easily double up as swim/tanning wear........ enough said.
Over the past 5 years I've had many custom suits made in variations of the style, in different materials and briefness, but they have all been of the one-sided style. The one-sided thong is not new to me or for that matter, the many people that have seen me wearing it in London parks to tan in. I seldom wear any other style these days. 


In 100% agreement with bmicro, this style suit has got me WAY more attention and appreciation than any 'normal' thong would have done......... The positive reactions I have received are just great.

Another thought about the picture of one sided thong males. They try to look presentable in their features such as no hair out of place or looking sloppy. Whenever someone works hard to look "perfect" people use them as example in a negative manner. For example the Kardashians have bullseyes on their backs. Whenever someone gets more attention then they deserve people start to breed hatered. 
So when i get undue attention at the beach or gym wearing thong or being nude with a metal gland ring on. Some people become haters seeing how i look. Usually it's envy and try to ruin my day or mock me or make me feel threaten, uncomfortable which they fail miserably. 

My feeling is it's not wrong to try to look better or try to stand out from the crowd. Even if it's wearing flourescent bright color thongs. If  people believe the wrong idea about me so be it. Just enjoy the attention it brings or not. Nothing bad happens.   What a notorious world reknowned famous athlete buddy (self proclaimed prick) use to say, before he was reformed, "What are they going to do, fu&k them". Whatever anybody says don't wear that. Only because others believe it's wrong to wear certain clothes will make you feel prisoner to your own happiness. 
Rules to live by if it makes you money, if it makes you happy. Nobody will give you any of it, you got to do it yourself. 

 I was checking out the website of cut2me designs in Columbus (http://www.cut2medesigns.com), and they now offer one sided thongs. I'm considering ordering one after pay day

 You're welcome. I discovered cut2me designs in June.  The designer had a booth at Columbus Pride. I bought two G-strings then, and was quite pleased with them.

Problem Solved!
I have had two slight frustrations with one-sided thongs since I have been wearing them regularly. The first is that I hate tan lines and want to wear the suit on alternating legs during the day to avoid them. This has entailed searching for a place to change. The second is that suits with narrow sides have a tendency to roll down.
I experimented with cutting the side strap and sewing in a clasp. This works great and solves both issues. The clasp allows me to simply unhook the side and move the suit over to the other leg without taking it off or exposing anything. It also serves to prevent the side from being able to roll down. l

 A couple years back, in my search for new and exciting designs, I came across a company that made a slingshot version of the one-sided style. It was in essence an extended version of the one-sided thong, but instead of the one strap siting over just one hip it sat instead over just one shoulder. Although I quite liked it, I was at the time not really into wearing slingshots myself so never bought one. I suppose times have changed....... And in my quest for next summers exclusive style I now fancy giving the style a go, sadly however, I can no longer seem to find this suit or the company that made it........ If any of you guys have any ideas I'd be really grateful if you'd pass them on.

Alter, a French manufacturer that makes a great one-sided thong, also makes a one sided slingshot. I have this one and it is an excellent suit, great for all day wear. I love to wear it here and it is very easy to change from one shoulder to the other to avoid weird tan lines!

Haven't seen a new one like this around but I'm going to get some custom made.  Having quickrelease clips allow you to make it a one hip suit and with an insert additional length of strap an over the shoulder suit.  As I said before I like the self retaining pouches with internal rings on the sac or C and B so everything points out.I might try a shaft hoisting to 45 degrees suit with a narrow shaft segment.  Having a ring inside there will keep it inside, having a sac ring will keep it on straight.  I'd like to get it made so I could also wear it inside out at a nude venue and let everything tan- except some cool strap tanlines behind the head! (making the pouch tan thru would give this tanline a "head start" no pun intended)I remember seeing a one off suit I think that Dore made that was a missile pouch slingshot with a metal ring sewn thru the end of the tube outside and the front strap going up to the shoulder attached to this ring, which should give it a puckered tip and a shaft pull that should look pretty hot.  Oh think of this- have one side of the tip just below the ring gather with an open horizontal buttonholelike slit!  Wear it with the slit toward your belly on the average beach, with the hole outside and the head out at Haulover!

 I finally ordered a one sided thong from cut2medesigns in gray. I am very pleased with it, and even wore it to a swimwear night party at a local Gay club. It was a definite hit there, and several people called it the best suit there. Looking forward to beach season, and SunSplash to show it off more

 Have just got back from a beautiful day spent sunning my buns at West Wittering beach in my new "erosella.com" one-sided suit. 
Great suit, well made with a great fit. Company is really easy to deal with and the price is very reasonable. All in all a great little purchase. 
Got a couple of lovely complements about it too!!!!

 Quick update,

Today I received my most recent purchase from 'inderwear.com' it was for the 5 one-sided 'Alter' suits I'd ordered not 3 days before .........OMGFG are they good!!!!! 

Without doubt the finest thongs I've ever purchased or worn....... 'Alter' make the best fitting, most comfortable and most flattering suit I've ever worn and 'Inderwear' have to be the best company I've ever bought from. 

I'm off to Cornwall in mid May and without any question of a doubt I won't be packing any other suits than these.

When looking for a well fitted one-sided thong that won't slip off or look silly all I can say is look no further than the "Alter" 'flash lateral thong' 

By far and away the best one-sided thong I've ever worn........ Blows 'Jovannas' 'Coachclass' and all the others out the water! Trust me you won't be disappointed........ I bet you could even run the beach wearing it with no problems it fits that well!!!!
