Contrary to what the press and media call them, along with all the different vendors out there selling them, the "C-String" and "One-Sided Thong" are two entirely different thongs. The "C-String" is a suit with no side strings at all, its a small pouch held in place by high tension wire that is formed to cup you through the butt crack, The One-Sided Thong, which is what I think you are looking for? Is a suit with just one side hip strap, I've worn this style suit almost exclusively since 2011 as both underwear and swim/suntanning wear and now have over 100 left and right sided suits in this style, despite what others say, if you find a well fitted suit it will stay in place all day, be it your tanning, swimming or just hanging out, no problems at all. All I'd say is you get what you pay for! High on my list of favourites are the suits from "Alter" both the "lateral flash thong" and the "Lateral flash body" (a slingshot version of the style) but If your looking for the best fitting suit I'd check out Val at "rubbertreelatex.com" in 7 years (and believe you me I've tried every company I can find PLUS a good few custom makers!!!) I've not found anyone make me a better suit....... oh and if you want see-thu or even rubber she can do that too. Hope that helps, enjoy, oh and the tan line is amazing!!! Paul |

However, she does not yet make one-sided thongs. I have had great luck with Jovana (pouch - wear down or no pouch - wear up) Iswim (also both ways) and Clothes to Pose. I find that, if you install a quick release where the top seam is, it is easy to change from left to right (or vice versa) on the beach to get a balance and avoid tan lines. This is a comfortable and highly attractive style. Enjoy!

Now I know that's not going to solve the side tension- want to pop over issue- might make it worse! Last night I took some 25mm wide florescent elastic with silver bars on it to make a strap on the missing side. The florescent yellow with silver bars made a good contrast to the dark red wet-look spandex. But first i fixed the pouch by taking out the excess floppy fabric so it fits close and smooth.
Wore it out paddle boarding today. Lots of complements and some people called me over and asked to take pictures of them with me.
I think all my single side suits have now been modified to have a balancing strap around the other hip. This one is the widest, at 25mm. Most of the others just a thin elastic spaghetti strap. Still look asymmetrical but are practical, wearable, won't fall off and if you get the connection points right, will stay in place and look right. |

You will need to experiment with each design because some work better than others. I have a couple which work fine- put my shaft pointing horizontal toward the strings and everything stays in place mostly. These have a somewhat "tall" design pouch.
I have another that has a ring on one strap near the pouch and I've used this recently at a private pool venue with my head in this ring out in the sun.
Mess around and you'll find some cool ways to repurpose some suits!! |

I wore one yesterday. This was a single sided thong in red wet-look fabric. Which I altered by adding a 20mm wide contrasting neon yellow/green elastic strap on the other side. This makes it interesting asymmetrical, rather than a true single sided thong. While mine are mostly custom alterations, you can get a similar single-sided thong with the necessary stabilization strings from AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803562141396.html
For the most part these are as easy to wear as a single-side thong, even when being active. You won't need to fiddle with it. You don't want people to think you are fiddling with your junk. |

Mine has a side tie- couldn't find that exact one to show you. The tie may look more feminine but it allows you to get the right length. It seemed to work well without constant adjustments like some other semikinis |

I finally solved the tendency to slip or roll down off the hip by wearing it almost horizontal with the side strap lying just below my buttocks. It is finally secure enough to walk, run, hit the water, etc. |

I have called them "thighkinis" since there's no waistband! Without a waist strap or chain you look nude, and look nude from behind while seated. One of these I had made with a sack ring, an elastic ring attached to the inside bottom of the pouch off to the unsupported side that sides over my ball sack and aids in keeping the pouch centered and on while moving around or swimming. In trying to design it I thought about a C ring around everything, but the side tension just seems to pull it off the far side- but the sack ring gives more even tension and doesn't promote exposure of the far side root. |

(You can see a couple of pictures of the black stripe one in the 2023-2024 photos in my album).
