Wife and I just returned from St Kitts last night so thought I'd update this thread. We stayed at the Marriott. I wore a thong every day on the beach and at the pools at the resort with no issues at all. Did have a small group of people in the pool pointing at me one day, so I waved back and threw them off guard. The staff couldn't care less other than a few female staff members that would smile and stop to chat with us. Overall there were not many thongs on women as the clientele there leans to the retired crowd. Several younger ladies in thongs or cheeky suits and one gent is a square cut and one in a 1" Speedo.

I even wore a thong on the catarman snorkeling trip and received several approving looks. When the boat got to Nevis we ended up running into the crew from a catamaran we sailed on last year when on the island from a cruise ship. One of the decks hands, after giving my wife a hug, looked up at me and said "Thong man!"

All in all it was a great trip, the locals are the nicest we have ever found in the Caribbean and I may not even bring anything other than thongs with me next year.

Just noticed I was the last knew to post in here and it was 3 years ago. We've been going to St Kitts every year in January for 2 weeks and since that visit in 2023 I have worn nothing butt thong swimsuits while there. The local ladies at the resort always stop to talk and check out my suit. One of the managers this year asked if I was taken, then asked if I had a brother who wore swimsuits like I do. A woman, who has a business on the beach selling cover ups for the ladies, told my wife not to worry about my swimsuits because I look great in them. My wife told her she worries someone is gonna think I'm gay... This woman would seek me out every day, wave me over to see what my thong looked like each day. Part of the time we were there the resort was hosting a conference of people in the commercial pump industry. One morning when a bunch of them were at the bar near the beach you could see a group of guys pointing at me like they were at the zoo watching 2 monkeys getting it on. I kind of had a good laugh to myself because I had quite a few of wives/girlfriends of attendees chat with me on the beach.... Outside the resort at other beaches, and especially on the catamarans going for snorkle trips and to the beach in Nevis, thongs continue to be absolutely fine. So if anyone is on a cruise and the ship stops in Basseterre, do not hesitate to wear a thong on the beaches or the catamaran excursions. On our snorkle charter and then visit to the beach in Nevis we met a veteranian with her husband and were talking quite a bit. I was wearing a custom made US Flag look thong, I think she first thought it was just a speedo until went to cool off in the water and she my ass. She lost it yelling "Oh my God, I f-ing love it!". As we continued to chat she tried convincing her husband he needed to get one. Hopefully she ordered him one.... I'm looking forward to next year there to wear a custom made thong that is the St Kitts/Nevis flag.
