Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:09/04/2022 04:38:57Copy HTML Chris, thanks for starting the discussion. As the others have pointed out, thong and g-strings down here in South Florida are far more common and often far smaller than what is worn elsewhere. I don't normally ware a g-string with shoulder straps, but do just for fun now and again. Would you think it "fetish wear" if it were just a g-string with no shoulder straps?
This was shot at Fort Lauderdale the sandbar where locals (and some tourists on pontoon boats) go to party. It is normal for there to be bit of rowdiness. Last time Leo and I paddled by in thongs the women were flashing their tits at us. Out on the water ways we get cheers from tourist boats. On this occasion the women on the boat called me over and gave me a couple of drinks before one of them shot this video from the top deck, and then kindly forwarded it to me. So I guess that was friendly approval. These days the thongs I ended up wearing often have little or no rear. They are often cross overs between thongs and g-strings. The women out on boats or sunning in the backyards of the million dollar homes tend to be equally bold. While he rear of my thongs are narrow or small, I don't do thongs with rocket, thrusting, pushout or transparent when wet fronts on my thongs. For me that is exhibitionistic / fetish wear. CKWonderer, you asked where to get a similar one. Mine is a somewhat older and slightly modified version of the "Joe Snyder Body Thong" https://www.menattitude.com/product/body-joe-snyder-js27z_1006 The red one I was wearing originally had all metal tri-glide slides and no rings. I removed the slides and replaced all four with sliding rings, like they have on the front of the current retail version shown in the link. At the same time I changed the routing of the cords so they cross over in the middle of the back, which keeps the straps in place better when I am paddling. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:09/04/2022 11:40:08Copy HTML I don’t have the guts to wear anything quite like JMRuns in the video, though I get that given the particular context, wearing something like that on occasion could be a bit of fun.
My first foray into thonging on a SUP was last summer but I literally only stripped down to the thong to catch some sun while lying down in the middle of a lake!
This week past I had my first opportunity to use my SUP this summer and, although I wore a brief cover up bikini initially from the shoreline - partly because of a summer camp of young kids being at the shoreline and partly because I’m still building my courage to thong more openly in public spaces (something I felt far more comfortable with when I was younger but have struggled with more the last 10-15 years), I stripped down to a thong once I was a little way from shore and loved the feeling of actually stand up paddle boarding in a thong.
Not a great story I know, but a good step forward for me and, combined with a couple of other experiences on the same vacation, I’m gradually building up my confidence and comfort level again, so it’s a win for me! Hopefully next time it will be another step forward and I'll just get out there and do it! |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:09/05/2022 04:01:28Copy HTML I paddle for exercise and then strip down to a thong for sunbathing. I would get baked too much with no SPF clothing on all day. i lay out a lot on my SUP all over the lake during breaks.
I would like to paddle in Ft Lauderdale or Miami area where there are sandbars for breaks. Are the waterways typically swift that paddling upstream won't get you back ? I was at Haulover and the water where it leads to the marina seems to be very swift, next to Oleta River State Park. This is on the other side of Haulover, not the beach side. I've never seen anyone paddle there. Anyone ever been over there, and have seen paddlers ? Thanks. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:10/17/2022 03:23:46Copy HTML So most weekends I paddle board once or twice. This weekend twice. Once with South Florida Paddlers FB group at Whiskey Creek on Saturday.
Sunday with a delightful thong wearing women, up Middle River and round a local circuit. I have a bit of a tradition of letting my guests pick the thong style and color. They have not seen the selection but get to pick color, sparkles, sayings or whatever. Today's guest choice for style was "Amusing sayings" and color choice was "Blue". So blue thong with blue "Remove Before Flight" Side strings. My partner in today's paddling herself rocked a black thong. https://flic.kr/p/2nTxpED

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:10/17/2022 02:32:33Copy HTML The SUP season for me was pretty good. I’m in the Austin area, and became a regular at a nice city park (Emma Long) on Lake Austin after the water temperature at lake Travis got too warm. Long park has a long shoreline to launch from and avoid the kiddie area. We had terrible heat this summer, and it generates a lot of wind on Travis, which turns the activity into a struggle. I got plenty of friendly waves from boats, and a few nice visits with homeowners drinking morning coffee on their docks. I never saw another paddler in a thong though. They were always heavily dressed! I’m thinking these people don’t understand that it a water sport, so you get wet. They did appear uncomfortable though. I’m a bit careless about the modesty level of what I wore, but the less you wear, the easier it is. At least that’s my thought. If I could, SPF30 would be my only garment but compromise is warranted. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:11/24/2022 06:39:04Copy HTML I really do love paddleboarding. The only drawback in Scotland is the weather. Even in summer when the temp may reach mid 70s the water remains cold. A wetsuit is always required for that unexpected dip. I do however enjoy the process of getting ready for a session. Getting out of my car and removing my t shirt and shorts revealing my g string bikini. I get my board set and and down to the water. I then get back to the car park and squeeze myself into my 1mm wetsuit. After my session I stop at the water edge and roll down my wetsuit just enough for my g string to be visible. Ah.. Happy days. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:12/08/2022 01:42:55Copy HTML In addition to personal solo paddling, I am leading groups once or twice a week. Sometimes with just a couple of friends and sometimes with more than a dozen. Last night we did a Full Moon paddle. I wore a pair of short reflective shorts instead of a thong. Friends were surprised that I was not wearing a thong as usual. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:12/18/2022 03:19:47Copy HTML Were there two of us over by the Sandbar? The day was overcast and the forecast was for rain so I only had one friend come paddling with me on Saturday. Normally it is a group of 8 to 14.
If you are on one of the larger and more stable paddle boards the "main canals" as you call them are not a problem. About the only place beginners get phased is the New River paddling through down town where the river is wiggly, narrow, and the boat wakes reflect back of the seawalls.
When I have others along, if they are beginners or nervous we stick to backwater canals, staying off the New River and ICW. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:01/05/2023 06:06:14Copy HTML I have been slowly acquiring both inflatable and used hard paddle boards. I now have a flotilla.
Sometimes I create a Facebook event to invite my local FB friends to come paddle boarding. Sometimes it is just friends who say something like, "My family is in town can we come borrow paddle boards?" Last week a good friend did just that. He went paddling on a warm sunny day with his parents and sisters.
One evening this week a women who often paddles with me said her daughter was in town and could we do an evening paddle to see the Christmas on the water side of the wealthy homes. I was not sure everything would be still lit-up, since many people turn of their lights after Christmas or after the New Year. But we went anyway.
It was a warm moonlit evening. I put pulsating red and white lights on the paddle boards. They told me this did a good job lighting up my sparkly thong.
These days I don't hang out at the beach. I can't run on my bad ankle, and I don't like just sitting around. So paddle boarding provides some exercise, and a good opportunity to thong publicly. Sometimes I paddle alone. Often spontaneously if it is a good day and I have the time. When alone I don't have to worry about others or sheppard the slow ones. However I am a social creature so hosting friends is also fun.
While I encourage people to wear thong swimsuits I also encourage them to wear whatever swimsuit makes them feel comfortable. It is interesting how their comfort and daring often grows the second or third time out, when they see everyone else acting normal. If you want people to accept your thonging as normal and natural then being with a group that already accepts you really helps.
Paddle boarding is a growing sport. If you have paddle boards to lend you will find others are keen to join you. First go paddle boarding. Get comfortable on the board and on the water. Thong if you can.
Then acquire some more paddle boards and invite friends and invite them to bring a "plus 1". You will be pleasantly supersized at how many will want to come, and how they will expand your circle of friends by bringing a "+1" or two, or more. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:01/06/2023 09:10:50Copy HTML LOL @JM_Runs flotilla!
I almost bought one of the inflatables that Aldi seems to sell every summer. However, there's no place around here to SUP, so I let it go.
I've only been on one once. We were vacationing in Negril Jamaica on the middle of the 7 mile beach. I went out in my thong but as soon as I got a hundred yards/meters offshore I went nude, tying my thong onto a go-pro mount on the board. Had some jet skies buzz me a few times taking pictures. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:01/25/2023 12:25:06Copy HTML I recently bought myself a large epoxy SUP and have been making good use of it over summer while the surf isn't so great.
I also have been thonging while paddling which is fantastic for my tan :)
In the area I live, we have many great spots for flat water paddling. I've recently been paddling in crowded tourist areas (Port Stephens) in peak holiday season without an issue. Yes of course you get looks and people do comment amongst themselves, but that happens when you're a male in a thong anywhere. I even unload my board, launch, get back and rinse off, then reload my board onto my vehicle, all while in just my thong and cap. Do as you'd normally do in briefs or shorts, and you don't get any hassles.
It's such a great feeling out on the water with the sun on nearly all of your skin, while getting some great exercise. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:01/25/2023 03:09:23Copy HTML Thongmad, glad you joined the SUP club.
- A paddle board gives one a bit of distance from others, like your own private island.
- Paddling along gives one something to do, so you are not just lurking.
- Standing up while swaying side to side is a fine way to show off your body and thong.
- Paddling is environmentally friendly and peaceful, so more likely to get smiles than someone on a jetski.
- Because it is quiet it allows others to talk to you as you pass. We get lots of friendly and positive comments from people on shore. |

Sun was bright and warm in the water wasn’t too chilly even though I didn’t get in. Did about 4 miles for the first session of the year! I even saw A girl in a thong doing an impromptu photo shoot on the shore. First sighting of another thong out there this year! I only saw two last year… besides me! Hope that means it’ll be a good one. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:04/28/2023 01:53:21Copy HTML Having returned from Fort Myers recently and had a wonderful week wearing only micro g strings on the beach as my husband was at meetings. I had use of a paddle board via our holiday rental apartment. 2nd day I was approx 50 m off the beach laying face down on my board relaxing when I was greeted by a comment " great day for a paddle ". I looked up to see a rather athletic looking man on a paddle board. We got chatting and he commented saying he loved my g string and said he was only wearing his shorts as he had left his swimwear trunks at home.
The following day around the same time I had once again paddled off the beach to chill out and was again laying naked apart from a micro g string when the guy from yesterday appears on his board..This time however he was wearing a neon pink g string which really complimented his tan. After chatting for a short time a powerboat passed by and created a wake which caused him to fall off his board. I went along side his board to help steady it as he climbed on again. I was delighted to see that his now wet g string pouch had become completely transparent, revealing what was an impressive package complete with a ring. It was a delightful next 15mins chatting with him as discussed the joy of paddle boarding and beach life. Happy days indeed. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/16/2023 08:18:24Copy HTML swimbabe, keep up the thong and g-string paddle boarding. Saturday and today Sunday friends came paddle boarding. Saturday I wore a one side red leather looking one side thong. Altered to added an inch wide neon green strap to the naked side so it stays on and centered all day. Today I wore a metallic red g-string with double side straps. In addition to the usual phone numbers and contacts, on Saturday I got a date invite. On Sunday a paddle boarding invite for later in the week. Earlier this week I took two young ladies out paddle boarding and once night fell took me to dinner. It pays to be bold and confident in a thong. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/19/2023 12:39:14Copy HTML I have joined the ranks of SUP owners. I recently had a bad wreck that totaled my SUV. I rolled at least once and landed on the roof upside down. God was looking out for me. I walked away with a few bruises and a knot on my right leg. Taken to the hospital, and everything internally was fine. My kayak on the roof was knocked loose and survived in great shape.
I bought a sedan and might put a roof rack on top for my kayak. In the meantime, I purchased a SUP from Amazon during their recent sale.
I have gone out twice on Lake Lanier(GA, outside of Atlanta) in a thong to use my new SUP. I am not nervous about wearing a thong r g-string on the lake, since I have been wearing one for years on the lake. I am still learning to balance standing up on the board. Most of the time I am on my knees. Today I stood up on board for 10 minutes. I will try to go longer next time. Either way, my ass is exposed. In the kayak, I sit on top but I am sitting on my ass and you can tell I have on a thong or g-string, but I love that I am totally exposed on the SUP.
Another advantage is I can lay on the paddle board to sun and not worry about a wet towel. Pumping up the board and then putting it away, I am in the parking lot in just my thong for 15 minutes each time.
Heard a few laughs when people first notice me, but when I wave and say hello, I got not rude remarks.
I hope to go out again this week. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/19/2023 02:41:50Copy HTML tobias5711 - Join some of the paddle board groups on FB. Some advice I gave on one of them:
Many people ask for beginners tips:
Inflatable paddle boards are softer if you fall on them or sit down hard. They also cost less. Assuming you have purchased an inflatable paddle board:
1) Setup on soft ground. Do not drag on concrete.
2) If your paddle board says a maximum of 15 psi then start out by inflating to to 13psi.
3) If using a manual pump look for button, lever or switch at the top that switches between working on both the UP and DOWN strokes - and just working on the down stroke. The former is best for getting initial air in, the latter once pumping starts to get difficult.
4) Make sure fin is properly attached clip is clipped in. Do not stand on paddle board when on dry land and fin(s) are in, you might snap them.
5) Adjust your paddle length: Rule of thumb - reach up and if you can just get your hand over the top of the handle that is about right to start out, for standing up. However shorter people might need longer than that.
6) Leash: Attach to back of paddle board and one ankle. Some people prefer a waist leash with quick release, which is probably a good idea for fast water or quick flowing rivers.
7) Life jacket: If starting out on a calm day, on relatively still warm water, and you are a good swimmer with other people around you don't need to wear one unless it is an inflatable buoyancy aid. Just have it with you on the paddle board.
You are just starting out so will probably fall a few times. Most people find that getting back up on the paddle board is easier when not wearing a life jacket.
I am sure someone will say "You must wear the lifejacket all the time", but they sure to make sliding back onto the paddle board tiring. If you are in a safe zone, in warm water, where you feel comfortable swimming, then try getting back on without, and with.
(UPDATE: If not starting out in still warm water, then wearing a life jacket is recommended.)
8 ) Lots of people start sitting down or on their knees. No shame in that, but you bought a stand-up paddle board so try standing up.
Standing up is a lot less strain on the knees, bum and back. Normally the best place to stand is right over the central carry handle with your feet shoulder width apart. Don't have feet to close to the edge.
9) You are going to fall off a few times when you start, so set out to practice in deep water. You don't want to fall in shallow water where you might twist an ankle or step on something sharp.
10) Like riding a bicycle, your stability comes from looking ahead at the horizon. Keep your eyes up, DON'T LOOK DOWN.
One has a tendency to look down to see what you are doing with the paddle. Resist. Try to keep your eyes up as much as possible. Think and feel with the paddle, keep your eyes up.
11) You are trying to reach forward to plant your paddle and then move your paddle board over the top. One hand on the top and REACH far forward to plant the paddle. Continue the stroke deep along side the paddle board as you twist your torso, and all the way to the back.
Swing your hips as you paddle. Use your arms to move the paddle forward and into the water for the next stroke, then twist your body for the power.
12) Shells are sharp. Oysters are razorblades. Stay away from shells and oysters, or going near shallows, dock piles or seawalls where there are oyster shells.

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/19/2023 02:46:17Copy HTML Standing up and staying up. Your balance comes from your eyes looking at the horizon in front of you. Just like on a bicycle.
If you are bicycling along and look down at the peddles or over your shoulder you will fall or wobble. When bicycling we teach you to lift the peddle, put your foot on the peddle and then LOOK UP where you are going and don't look down. Same on a paddle board.
First practice this on dry land. Inflate board to at lest 13psi. Remove the skeg so you don't break it. On dry land place paddle across board in front of you. Now LOOK UP at the horizon and KEEP LOOKING UP as you STAND UP. Feet should be a little wider than shoulder width and you should be standing over the center handle.
Without looking down put your hand over the top of the paddle and pretend to take your first couple of strokes while still LOOKING UP AT THE HORIZON in front of you. Do this several times so you get the body movements memorized.
Now flip board over, insert the fin, and try this on the water. KEEP LOOKING AT THE HORIZON, both when going to stand up and when on the paddle board. The fastest way to fall is by looking down or over your shoulder. So try to paddle by feel, not by looking down at the blade in the water. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/24/2023 04:25:55Copy HTML Unless you have a leek the problem is not the paddleboard but your pump. Check for leek with soapy water. Probably not that.
You probably have a manual pump. Somewhere near the top rim there will be a Lever, Button or Plug. When first pumping to put the air in this should be in double action mode, pumping on both the up and down stroke.
As the pressure builds, like 4 to 5 psi, the pumping gets harder. Now you switch the pump to single action mode, so it only pumps on the down stroke. You do this by turning the lever, or pressing in the button, or removing the plug. Now the pump should be in single action mode and pumping will be slower but easier, because only the down strokes are pumping.
The levers are generally obvious. The screw in plugs are sometimes black, or gray, or red. The button controlled ones are often less obvious, buttons are generally black or gray.
However some low end paddle board pumps are not really paddle board pumps. They have the same fitting for inflation but are meant for lower pressure thumbing mats or floating rafts. These do not have a method for switching from double action to single. If that is the case just replace the pump.
OPTION #2: Purchase a SUP specific electric inflator. They are digital. You dial in the pressure you want, for example 13.5 psi, and then press go. They do the low pressure to high pressure cut over automatically (you can hear the change) and then stop when the target pressure is reached. Just make sure you entered the target pressure in PSI and not BAR. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/27/2023 05:29:52Copy HTML Yea my hand pump stopped working earlier this year. I have been using an electric pump since and set it to 16 PSI and it doesn't fully inflate. Only about half way. I tried the soapy water thing but could not find any leaks. I have toa ssume it is the valve and it is non-replaceable (you get what you pay for). Apprx $200 off amazon for Funwater brand. Costco has some nice baords but looks like i just missed the clearance sale. Need to get one with a replacable valve in case tta goes bad in the future. I need to get back on the water soon and enjoy the sun in minimal swimwear.

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/27/2023 07:18:36Copy HTML All the valves in the Funwater brand boards that I have seen, and I have sold a number of them, ARE replicable. Not an easy job and it takes experence. However if the air came out after inflation then I would consider it a bad valve. Your problem is different. I suspect you have a leek or defective pump, or it may be that the rubber O-ring on the end of the hose, where it connects to the paddle board is the wrong width.
When you set the pump to 16psi, does the electric pump ever think it has reached 16psi and shutoff automatically? |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/29/2023 02:59:16Copy HTML yes it only inflates about half way with electric pump. it just goes no where after a certain amount of air goes in. i hold the hose connection tight at the valve but it doesn't seem to matter. all very frustrating. Still can't seem to find any leaks with soapy water. Sure seems like something is wrong with the valve. i used same electric pump earlier this year with no problems.

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:07/30/2023 01:29:21Copy HTML I agree. Sounds like the pump is defective. Running but failing to build up pressure. Probably a leak somewhere in the pump, that you don't hear because of the pump noise. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/02/2023 03:47:46Copy HTML As you gain experence, confidence and skill the wakes from boats become less of an issue. Most beginners just sit down when the waves from a boat approach, but more experienced paddlers just put their paddle blade in for balance and just let the waves run under them. Turning head on into the slowly approaching waves helps. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/14/2023 08:07:31Copy HTML So I thong around the house, and around my neighbors houses, and up and down the canals on paddle boards, and at my friends pool. About the only time I don't is when I throw on shirt and short shorts to go shopping or when invited to friends house for the evening, or going out to a play or movie where it is cold inside. I like to invite friends to come paddling on the weekends. I now have around 16 paddle boards and 4 kayaks. I thong. Some of my friends thong, both male and females. Not all of them, but with little encouragement a number do. I don't have a problem if they don't. What ever makes them happy. Just glad we are out on the water having a good time. Sometimes friends people bring their date, dog or their friends. First timers tend to be supersized at all the positive reactions to thongs from other boaters and the tripper boats. I enjoy the recognition. Better than going through life invisible and ignored. From my back yard I can get about a dozen people sorted out and launched in about half an hour. Then we take off on local loops. Lately I have been expanding my own armada, so if there is a large group I don't need to borrow boards from neighbors. Recently I picked up 4 more that needed fixing up and already had a few that need some repairs. So this last week I have been sanding and filling. Still have a few more to fix up. I also have to sell a few that are really good for paddle surfing, or light weight paddlers but not my dufus friends or beginners. To further expand the range of our group paddles I am looking to build up an old boat trailer into a paddle board wagon, so I can tow a bunch to other launch sites. But first I have to finish going through and fixing the boards I already have. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/15/2023 12:51:13Copy HTML I'm so jealous of your ThongLife down there JM! Sounds like a dream to basically live in your thong. And to be able to paddle board right from your house is amazing! I would be doing exactly what you are doing with those boards. What a great time to show all your friends and get out on the water. Cant wait to get down there again and paddle with you. Keep us posted with more pics and vids, we are living the Fort Lauderdale ThongLife through you! LOL |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/15/2023 01:17:57Copy HTML I am just as jealous as Sweet_Cheeks. It would be absolutely wonderful to be able to wear a thong practically all the time outdoors. JM could become the mayor of Fort Lauderdale and mandate everyone to wear thongs everywhere! Fort Lauderdale could be similar to Cap d'Adge in France, with one small exception. :) JM would definitely get my vote.
I used to live north of Tampa back in the 80's and have never been to Fort Lauderdale. It sounds like a great place to visit. One of these years I will go during the last three weeks of October, visiting all of the Atlantic coast beaches in SE Florida, culminating at Fantasy Fest in Key West on Halloween. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/15/2023 03:05:03Copy HTML I can't promises a visit will be like living here. Living here is very different from visiting. It is like driving down a street and seeing the fronts of houses, rows of garage doors and faceless front doors - - compared with paddling past the back yards when the tide is high and seeing people in their swimming pools and looking through their windows at what they are eating for dinner. The tourist face of the town is very different to the local view.
Tourists go to the beach and shopping districts, populated by other tourists in conservative clothing and swimwear. Locals ride bicycles go to bars you will never find, like Tarpon River Brewery or Riverside Market.
Locals can be seen on the beach, if you are out between 6am and 9am, they will be running on the sidewalk. Very few will stay to hang at the beach. When locals are outdoors they are at a private swimming pool or out on a boat. Most houses and condos have a pool, and if not they have friends who do.
On a Friday at the sandbar at during this time of year we see boat loads of young women down for bachelorette weekends, but few of them in thongs. They are tourists. Compared with a Saturday or Sunday when the locals come out - then you will see many women in thongs. The difference between what tourists think is daring and what locals wear is considerable. At least when it comes to women's bikinis. Even the local men are more likely to wear a square cut or speedo than the tourists in their knee length Hawaiian print board shorts.
If you visit you want to get out on the water when the weather is good. (Locals don't do bad weather days because we get so many good ones.)
That is why inflatable paddle boards are becoming so popular. You can go just about anywhere in the US, find the water in a river or lake and go for a paddle in a thong. You get to see the more relaxed water side of where you are visiting, and get to see the locals when they are relaxing too. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/21/2023 06:34:52Copy HTML I was out Sunday paddleboarding with a group from the South Florida Paddlers. Weather was mostly overcast and blustery, with some patches of sun. When we got to the mouth of Olita Park's launching creek the wind was particularly strong so instead of trying to go to the sandbar people paddled to the park beach. However we got thrown off the beach because some paddlers had their dogs along. So then we all paddled over to Sandspur island where we spent the rest of the afternoon. Because it was a somewhat gray day I wore a bright orange and florescent yellow thong. A lot of the women were in thongs too. There were some multi-million dollar boats anchored just of the beach, having a big party and all the women on the boats were in thongs, some quite unusual ones too. Next Saturday, instead of hosting paddles at my house I will again put a paddle board on top of the car. Going up to the group paddle at Peanut Island. There is going to be two local paddle groups going on Saturday - And a band playing on a floating barge at the Peanut Island sandbar. There will be boats, paddle boards and shenanigans. Should be a good party. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/28/2023 02:43:37Copy HTML Saturday, went to paddle meetup at Peanut Island organized by South Florida Paddlers. A long drive from Fort Lauderdale but a perfect place for kayak and paddling. Has loading-unload zone close to launching beach and then free parking in the large carpark. Drinking water fountains and fresh water showers for after.
We had about 30 to 50 depending as people came and went. First group anchored up on the sandbar where we all hung out for a while, before getting stung by jellyfish so some of us paddled over to where there was a floating concert, band-on-a-barge event called "Live at the Nut". Others paddled over to the beach and snorkeling, where I went too after the band finished for the day.
Good day out. I wore a thong as usual. Lots of pretty young women at the paddle meetup, almost all in thongs, a couple wearing lingerie as bikinis, a few guys brave enough to wear a speedo or square cut, but no other male thongers.
Sunday: I was not sure I was going padding after Gregg's birthday party on Saturday night. I was just a wee bit hung over. ,However Gregg and some cycling friends came over so we did a lunchtime paddle to sandbar. Half the men wore thongs, more than half the women did too.
J's bright yellow thong bikini had turquoise trim. When asked her to pick out a thong for me she selected a turquoise thong with yellow trim to complement hers.
At one point we got rained on rather hard. We ducked down into the warm tropical water with just our heads out. Hats kept the rain out of the eyes. Once the rain passed it got sunny again. As usual we got cheers for the thongs, from local and party rental boats. J and I got asked to do photos with a bachelorette group.
We had a couple more cheers for the thong wearers as we paddled back on the canal by Las Olas Blvd. A good afternoon out. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/28/2023 01:31:15Copy HTML Thats awesome JM! Makes me want to move back to south Florida so I can paddle board with you on these excursions and parties! Hey, have you ever thought about getting a Go-Pro video camera? They can be mounted to your board and/or head/body and record all the excitement of ThongLife down there. You could start a YouTube channel and make some side money because I'm sure you would get a lot of viewers! You could call it South FLA ThongLife! I would definitely tune in with popcorn in hand! LOL You would reach people everywhere and show how thongs are awesome, legal, and a fun way to be outside and enjoy the beach and life. It would help to normalize our lifestyle. And since you know the beaches so well you could give tips and suggestions on what, where, and when to go to various happenings. I think It's time to take you're thong ambassadorship out into the world, you do it so well and naturally. ;) |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:08/28/2023 02:10:45Copy HTML For a while I tried a discrete pendent camera that was meant to have image stabilization. I posted a couple of videos previously. But it did not work well and now is broken.
I don't want to look like a pervy old voyeur with a go-pro stuck to my helmet. If I was kayaking with a kayak life jacket then a camera stuck on the front would not be so obtrusive. However when paddle boarding I am just about naked so there is no easy way to have a discrete camera.
I am hoping someone develops a fully waterproof camera where the storage is separate from the lens with a wire connection. Maybe in a fanny pack with a remote wired lens. That way you could have an all day battery and a very small lens module that could mount on my cap and look where I do, without it being too horrendously obvious. Even if the power and storage were in a brick on the back of the cap, it would be ok. |

Re:Stand-Up Paddle boarding in a Thong - SUP (Paddleboarding) Date Posted:09/16/2023 02:56:51Copy HTML July was great with over 50 miles on the SUP in various thongs and a string or two thrown in there to mix it up. Many outings and hours in the sun and bunz. Added some pics to my 2023 album.
August was much different with only one outing due to vacation and screwing up my back for a few weeks. Of course got some thong time at the beach on vacation. Had to do some backyard thonging instead while my back got hurt. September has started out pretty well with three outings already and looking forward to several more but it’s gonna be a busy month for me. |
