Re:Transparent sides, clear, plastic or silicon straps Date Posted:04/24/2026 02:15:16Copy HTML A clear string suit would be amazing to wear! Wow. But as I like to walk around at beaches it would need at least a small bright colored triangle in back - not an invisible g-string. Otherwise some Karen will think I'm nude and call the cops. Who knows how that would turn out. Personally, even with a rear triangle I would not wear it at a regular public beach. But for discreet sunbathing or at a special beach with the right vibe this would be a very fun option. |

Re:Transparent sides, clear, plastic or silicon straps Date Posted:04/24/2026 08:51:47Copy HTML You are right, transparent sides are an invitation to the 'naked man' report.
Almost all clear straps are see-through but not tan-though. A bit like when you are inside a glass window, you feel the heat but you don't get a tan.
In found they quickly disintegrate, so prefer simple thin side strings, and where possible a bit of a flash of a color from a small rear triangle.
To that end I have been replacing some of my g-string rears that were just a T of straps with a shiny metal shells >>

Re:Transparent sides, clear, plastic or silicon straps Date Posted:04/25/2026 12:21:55Copy HTML I've discovered a very visible waistband that won't cause a tan line. Worn with a baggie or very thin strap G string or sackie.
It's an aluminum link chain- still masculine looking in silver or gray. It may be too visible ass people I've found will go out of their way to see it! I've thought about replacing an elastic G string waistband (on a sliding pouch) with a chain too- butt you have to have a small enough coupler (or remove and reinstall) to get through the tunnel. These might do for some ?? See available in longer lengths. Keep in mind this doesn't stretch but with hook closures you can pick your length each time you put it on! I've got to say that the coolness or warmth of the chain against the skin feels great!
You won't see someone else wearing the same thing!

Re:Transparent sides, clear, plastic or silicon straps Date Posted:04/26/2026 12:26:43Copy HTML JM. Those Temu shell connectors look like the are close to 2” wide and tall. That seems like they would be too big to be comfortable as a backside connector. What is your feedback on that?
I’ve looked on Etsy as well for an interesting three-way connector for the back straps as well. I really have not seen anything other than a simple circular ring. Has anybody else found a three-way connector that would suit that? |

Re:Transparent sides, clear, plastic or silicon straps Date Posted:04/27/2026 05:50:27Copy HTML I have not had a problem with the shells, except getting the turned over fabric close enough to the sewing machine needle. A little care is needed there. Otherwise been happy with the resulting suits.
It may help that my waist straps are not too tight so nothing digs in. Younger people with firmer bodies can wear "snappy" tight but as one gets older, if the waistband is too tight you end up looking like a trussed up Sunday roast.
I have also searched online for three way rear connectors, like you see on some of the skinzwear g-strings. Have not found them. I do use rings and triangles, both plastic or stainless. I rather like the look of a large rear triangle, and of course the shells. Just ordered more of them. |
