Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/15/2014 10:07:48Copy HTML The top end of Perran is clothing optional, and at the north of Holywell Bay Ive regularly seen a local guy tanning in his thong. Both beaches are usually quiet out of the school hols, so you'd have no problem Im sure.K

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/18/2014 06:43:18Copy HTML I was in Cornwall last weekend. I was down on Hayle. The beach is perfect, and quiet, I managed to tuck myself under the sandy ledge at the top of the beach, and hide behind a wind breaker.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/18/2014 08:57:04Copy HTML I know it's hard sometimes, but please try not to hide when in your thongs; it just helps to perpetuate the notion that you are doing something wrong.Be natural and just behave the same as you would if wearing shorts.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/18/2014 05:01:42Copy HTML It was awesome and today again absolute bliss on my favorite beach at Hayle estuary. Had a lovely walk along the beach in something very skimpy. I have seen others (guys and girls) in thongs a few times at Hayle estuary. Also at the middle and north ends of Perran and Holywell.
It is always fairly quiet at this time of year, so doesn't seem to raise any eyebrows. |

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/18/2014 05:35:37Copy HTML Just did an image search for Hayle - it looks very picturesque. If only it wouldn't take me 5 hours to get to, I might go!
You're lucky to have that on your doorstep Krissy. |

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/21/2014 04:57:11Copy HTML Hayle is just that bit too far for me for a day from devon. The plan is to do Perranporth tomorrow' Sunday. Krissy, at Hayle does the sea go out for miles like Perranporth at low tide? One thing I hate is having to done a ordinary swim cotume to have a swim at low tide. I do walk all that way in a thong, but it is a hell of a way and you do feel vulnerable.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/27/2014 07:32:28Copy HTML Yes its a big tide at Hayle although at the estuary you are never far from the water and I cant see anyone there being too bothered if you took a dip in your thong - you wouldn't be the first!

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/27/2014 03:17:50Copy HTML Looking forward to being in Cornwall in a couple of weeks - wont be too far away from Perranporth so will give that a look.
Now wondering what to add to the holiday collection - thinking about Joe Snyder Rio or Joe Snyder Thong - suggestions? @cmdwxoutku what do you wear? @lauren1 - thanks for all the local postings - it's really helpful. |

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:07/05/2014 10:15:58Copy HTML I either wear a California muscle y-back G string or a tie side G-string I bought years ago, the company name escapes me. Have a great time Tiggerix. Perranporth is a pretty place and I've never had any hassle as a guy wearing a G on the beach

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:07/21/2014 11:08:32Copy HTML Well didn't get to Perranporth nor Holywell beaches. Weather was hit and miss (mostly miss). Had the smallest asian speedo at Kynance Cove with most guys in shorts. Wore a Kiniki tan thru micro at Gorran Haven and St Ives beaches. Couldn't see any other guys even in a moderate speedo - only shorts and wetsuits. Got a nice smile from a girl on one beach which I think was positive, and, three younger college aged girls set up near me before I was joined by my OH who had been shopping. Overall everywhere we went in Cornwall was relaxed and I would be comfortable to thong, but my OH prefers me nude or speedo - it was probably the Joe Snyder sheer bulge thong that took her over the edge.....

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:07/21/2014 11:14:11Copy HTML tiggerix = does your wife wear a thong bikini? If yes, then as a man with a woman or girl in a thong, then generally you should be safe to wear one too (I know some places are no the same - if you come down to my Brighton, you can wear a thong comfortably as a man on many beaches, with a girl or woman doing same, almost all beaches - but walking the promenade - boardwalk to our American friends - no, but a girl can)

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:07/22/2014 10:24:07Copy HTML @alanmartin no she doesn't wear a thong bikini - got her one a long time ago, but we both agreed she looked better in a brazilian. I think she would wear one if it was a really good fit - she does wear thong underwear for my benefit. I would thong almost anywhere, but she really hates the JS bulge thong and that has tipped her towards speedo or nekid. I figure if I hadn't pushed it with the JS it would have been ok in more moderate thongs. As it is, she worries that if she gives in to thongs, I will keep pushing it and wear the dreaded bulge. Human psychology!

I've heard the beaches/coves around Trovose Point are very nice??? Any local info would be apprecated, Regards Paul |

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:03/28/2015 10:49:40Copy HTML Hi Maxin, For Holywell I've not seen any nudists here but the end of the beach is quiet out of the main season so popular with a few thongers - tends to be regulars and locals. There's a guy in his 40's I see there often and an older guy who wear thongs. Perran is clothing optional at the far end (its a long walk!), so tends to be less thongs and more nudists there

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:04/12/2015 07:07:46Copy HTML Yipee summer's on its way - lookin' good for my first UK beach day on Tuesday, cant wait to get the thongs out and feel some sun. Probably chase the sun to where the sky is clearest and shelter from any wind so maybe Holywell, Downderry or Wonwell if anyone's about say 'Hi' ;-)

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:04/22/2015 06:18:03Copy HTML Wow! amaaaazing day at Downderry. Lovely beach, friendly locals and plenty of places to get out of the wind. I even managed to park within a few hundred meters of the cliff path that leads to the beach so I was stripped down to a small thong bikini straight away, then along the mile long beach when a few locals (some naturists, some fully clothed) said hello and two guys walked with me to tell me all about the 'gays' and tides! Their eyes nearly popped out of their heads when I said I didn't want to spoil my tan-lines and whipped my top off and slipped my thong down as I had one of my crazy-small micro strings underneath ;-)I found a great spot out of the wind not far from a really sexy guy who was wearing a neat black thong. He was very cool unlike the guys Id walked with earlier who kept coming over 'to check if I was OK', so I moved my sheet closer to the guy in the thong and made sure he was looking whilst I took ages applying plenty of oil and rubbing it in all over in a provocative manner, and then shaking out my sheet whilst bending over right in front of him with my legs slightly parted. Let me tell you that the string I was wearing is VERY thin and doesn't even cover the edges of my mound - so I hope he had a nice view and I don't mean he was looking out to sea !!Off to Holywell today for more fun and games. When we get so many hot days like this in a row I find I get naughtier and naughtier each dayK x

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:04/23/2015 06:05:01Copy HTML Hey Paul - do you mean Downderry or other beaches in Cornwall? Downderry is tricky with the tides and parking in the village isn't easy, best to go when the tide is out then you can walk out of the village up the hill and on the sharp bend you take the footpath and almost immediately you'll see a wooden gate that leads down to the beach. The first part of the beach is busier but used by naturists - mature couples mainly, then there's a rocky bit that can get cut off when the tide's in (there's another footpath up the cliff if you do get cut off). So the next quiet section is nice, then a part mainly used by gay guys and the far end of the beach is where Ive been yesterday and once or twice in the past - plenty of little coves where you can be private or get out of the wind. Its a very social beach and probably a place where people 'cruise' if you know what I mean. I quite like it as it seems to be mainly gay guys so I get less attention (of the unwanted kind)

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/17/2015 01:07:28Copy HTML Ooooh, I think Brazil is almost as good as Cornwall ;-) I wondered from your questions if perhaps you'd seen me at the beach and may have said hi. I was the only single girl at the beach on that day, so a few guys came over and spoke to me, some saying how much they liked my string and so on

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/24/2015 02:09:43Copy HTML Yeah Brazil just about compares to Cornwall. It's great for a guy wearing thongs out there on the quieter beaches. None of the girls bat an eyelid. No I didn't see you and say hello on that day. If I saw a girl in a thong on a cornwall beach I'd probably take a chance and see if it was you off the board. It requires caution though, you can come across as a bit creepy

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:06/26/2015 08:44:02Copy HTML Bit of a disappointment unfortunately. No sign of any thongs on a walk from Godrevy to the Hayle estuary. Sunny but very cold wind, and everyone kept well insulated. Best I could manage was shorts, and that was pushing it!

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/10/2016 05:40:33Copy HTML Sunshine is coming :-) An unexpected couple of hours in the back garden today - almost as unexpected as the window cleaner calling around. I had my headphones in so didn't hear him and the poor guy was so embarrassed to find me sprawled out wearing very little. Id left any clothes inside and there was no way I was going to miss out of a few precious hours of sun so I just carried right on basking away whilst he tried to get on with his job.Ive got Friday off and it supposed to be lush - who else is getting their tan started? Looking at the wind forecast I think I'll get myself over to Holywell to sizzle as it should be sheltered there ;-)

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/12/2016 10:38:47Copy HTML Much as I love my new sunny life in Brazil I do miss the opportunity to hit the Cornish beaches in something ridiculously small and show off a bit occasionally.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/16/2016 07:41:36Copy HTML Heehee I don't mind being it on once in a while, but there's distinct difference when someone pesters you at the beach. Its been an amazing week here in Cornwall and Ive almost had the beach to myself, although Brazil sounds great - always hot and the home of the dental floss bikini! I tried to make a thong using actual dental floss once :-)

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/22/2016 05:34:43Copy HTML Yer I can totally respect that comment Krissy. I guess by the very nature of what most of us here wear we expect a bit of attention but when that attention becomes pestering its totally out of order and I tend to loose my cool a little. Sounds like you had a nice bit of peaceful time down at the beach? I do miss my time in Cornwall, the quiet coves where you can tuck yourself away and be totally alone or the more open beaches if you choose to be open and seen, you have the best of both worlds down there, I miss that. Just as an aside, and a little off topic, yes Brazil is known as the home of the thong, and some pretty small ones at that!!!, however, that's exactly what they are, thongs. You see very few true G-strings and even fewer Dental Floss bikinis out here. I've seen more G-strings worn at Padstow on a Saturday afternoon than I have out here!!! I spent 5 days in Rio a couple of weeks back, most of which was on CocoCabana Beach, in those 5 days I only saw 5 G-strings and 1 micro Dental Floss bikini....... I did count 3 one-piece suits one which was pretty close to a slingshot and boy did she look hot....The true G-string just doesn't seem to be worn out here, it's all about the thong....... and I'm not complaining!

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:05/23/2016 04:19:33Copy HTML I thought I read somewhere that they had tried to ban the tiny dental floss bikini! As far as I know they are still legal in Cornwall (even if mine might be barely legal) and the Sun is out so I'm off to Holywell to soak it up!

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:07/15/2016 08:07:30Copy HTML Been down at the beach the last two days enjoying glorious weather and thinking that as its the last week before the schools break up Id better make the most of it, so only packed my smallest string (posted a couple of new photos in my leopard print). Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:08/27/2017 08:26:30Copy HTML Krissy - we got to Hayle estuary yesterday afternoon. Where did you get to enjoy the sun? Hit Praa Sands today and may return tomorrow given the northerly wind hitting the north coast; hoping to get to Lelant at some point if the weather allows.
Swix - my understanding of this area is that Gwithian is a great beach but I haven't seen any sign of thongs. Similar state of affairs for Praa Sands on the south coast. Lelant (other side of Hayle estuary on the north coast) looks like maybe the best option to thong but haven't got there to try yet. |

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:08/28/2017 08:39:32Copy HTML No personal experiences here I'm afraid - several and various reasons. Towards eastern end of Praa you could get away with it comfortably I reckon. Not so sure about Gwithian. Haven't managed to get to Lelant. Sadly, weather looks like it's turning so unsure you'll get much opportunity the rest of this week.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:08/26/2020 09:47:57Copy HTML Spent the day at Gwithian today with my young family of 5. Everyone on the beach in wetsuits for the surf expect for a few. Out of the handful of women not wearing wetsuits, 3 in thong bikinis. And out of the handful of guys not wearing wetsuits, 3 in briefs. I went with a red jor thong under briefs. Wore a wetsuit for body bording (simply cos I wanted to stay in and enjoy the surf) but then when on beach, stripped down to the red thong for a time...no body appeared to give any notice!! I'm sure words were said but no clear behavioural changes from those around. Lovely experience.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:02/06/2021 05:58:18Copy HTML I'm new to this board. I live in Cornwall. I have for some summers of late enjoyed walking the coastal footpath in a g-string, and popping down to beaches for a swim every now and again. It feels great to have the sun shining on an almost totally bare skin and to work a tan on my bottom. I try to avoid family type beaches, usually these are ones near car parks! So, I carry a small shoulder bag and keep a tiny pair of shorts which I put on as I approach a busy beach. Also handy if I am catching a bus back to my starting point. Would be glad of company; had a nice chat once with a group of hikers who overtook me despite being weighed down with the usual hiking gear on a blazing hot day! One said that I had the right idea.

Re:UK - Cornwall Date Posted:02/07/2021 10:15:50Copy HTML @delabole. I’d be interested in walking, hiking and tanning with you on a vacation/camping visit to Cornwall this summer.
