I don't know if you intend to run on the sand or on the Venice sidewalk by the beach. Do tell us what you are up to. Some simple advice, do not add too much distance to start. Better to have a few good comfortable runs under your belt than go out and kill your self. For the first couple of weeks you are just attempting to get into the routine and changing your brain so that this is something you regularly do. Becoming a runner is making it part of your life. You will find that running makes you hot. Who'd have thunk? This will extend your season because a lot of days that are too chilly to be sitting on the beach are just fun for running. Make sure you have a good stretching and cool down program to do after you finish running. Most of my strains and injuries are because I skipped or did not fully do my after run stretching. Smile, say good morning, and give a cherry wave to everyone you run past, coming or going. Soon the regulars will be smiling and waving back. Drink lots of fresh water. Because of the salt in the air and the wind of the sea you don't notice how much sweat you are putting out. I drink from the beach showers, to quench my thirst, and more. Stay hydrated. I see you plan to run 'every day' until you are back in shape. This is probably not a the best idea. Better to run every other day, to allow 48 hours of recovery between runs. Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
