There was one other guy in a thong. I think it was a Bright Yellow JS Thong. I set up about 400 feet away from him and was hoping that he would make contact. I am not looking to hook up, just to make some thong friends, as I have just moved to LA.
While I was there, a little boy and his family approached me from behind and he yelled, "look mommy that man is wearing a thong". The mother then said, "Leave him alone, he looks good anyway". I was pleased with her remark. I am determined to find a higher thong population in LA. Tomorrow, I am headed to Will Rogers beach and am now going to wear a Bright Yellow JS Thong - yes I was inspired on Friday! Anyone want to join me? Also, I would like your thoughts on etiquette. If I am going to wear a thong and I see another thonger, is it inappropriate to make contact? I don't want to intrude, but I am interested in meeting fellow thongers. |

So unless this is a lonely gay guy the probability is that he will avoid or shun your advance.
You will probably have better luck finding a thong buddy through this or other message boards, and arranging to meet out there, than approaching other men with a cold call on the beach. I know that while I will give other thongers a cherry hello or thumbs up when passing, when other men (in thongs or regular shorts) come up and try to be friendly I am normally civil but often find a reason to go my own way. I don't go to the beach to hook up. That's not to say I have not met other men on the beach who have become friends but these are few and far between. Most of the men or women I have met on the beach are just hi-bye acquaintances who will give a friendly wave or say good morning in passing. I am much more open to the advances of women, but that's true for most men. The only ways I know of to interact with someone else on the beach and not appear to be too pushy are: 1) Ask them to watch your stuff when you go for a swim or a walk. 2) If you see them trying to take a picture of themselves or their group offer to do it for them, or ask them to use your camera to take one of you. "I'm sorry, but would you mind taking my picture for me. I'm asking you because you are wearing a thong and so I know you will not freak out at the request from a fellow thonger." 3) Happen to be at the beach shower at the same time they are. It looks better if you are there first but that takes some skill and cleaver anticipation. |

I went for a couple of long walks today from the Gallion tower to the harbor and saw one girl in a thong. I also saw three girls together with two of them wearing g-strings. With all the rain, I've never seen LA looking so lush and beautiful! Good to know the drought it over - not so good for thonging but sometimes other things are more important, like the survival and climactic balance of the planet. :-) Sunday was better and managed to ALMOST get rid of my bikini back tanline. Oahu in 4 weeks. Can't WAIT!

Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
