The question we have is wearcan we buy a thong swimsuit bottom for are daughter ( my step daughter). Any help wouldbe appreciated.

I will allow my kids to thong if they wish when the time comes. I don't see the problem in finding your step-daughter a suitable thong. Is she very young or petite? Why the problem finding one?
Any shop or retail store that carries thong swim suits will undoubtly have something for her. Or any of the miriad on lin store and catalogs. |

Just give her the measurements and maybe a picture or diagram and choose a fabric- she's very reasonable in price. She's made some V string suits for her, she can make the front and the back the size you'd like. Getting two styles of fronts , two sizes or styles of tops of the same fabric can be cool-something you don't find in a store. One thing that she may like is to have matching suits made for mom and daughter. She's made my wife and I some matching suits- well just the bottom for her. |

Like their size small is smaller than an American size Small.
Ebay have some, just type in Brazilian thong bikini and then they have the size charts on there too (i would go by hip size... for the bottoms.) I order my brazilian bikinis straight from brazil depending on who u buy from can take a while. I get mine in the mail in 7 days after they ship it off tho |

We only really need the bottom for going to nude beaches. Some people give us hell cuz she is only ten. And with that said in no way would we let her wear a thong bikini to her friends house or a public(non-nude)beach. Anyone else have the same problem with there daughter and wearing thong bikinis at a young age? well once again thank you all for your help it is very apprieciated.

Even though the 455 has a seam up the front they do not "ride up" that bad. Even so, even the matt fabric is see through when it is wet. Even so I think it is still more conservative than the 451. You may just want to get her a pair of bamboo knickers (621). I have worn these several times swimming and they seem to hold up well.

Why not just let her go nude if she's there with you? I go to nude beaches and resorts and see kids there with their parents and everyone is nude - it's not a big deal. Unless your daughter is a bit shy about going totally nude - then a thong should be fine. Who cares about what other people are saying?

down to xxs and you order the tops and bottoms separately. They are
priced that way.
I would get her both a bottom and skinny top, so she can put the top on or off as she feels the need. Yes she may discard it after the first 30 minutes and never wear it again, but it was worth buying it for her so she could make that decision on her own. If she chooses to wear the top let her. She may be mortified by her developing bust line, or mortified by the lack of it. That's the pain of turning into a teenager. She may also be more comfortable if she is accompanied by a friend. Talk it over with the other parents first, or try and make friends in the local nudist comunity who have a daughter of a similar or older age. All teens are chuffed if they get to hang out with someone a little older, wiser and more worldly. (A little older, not a lot) For tweens and teens, nothing is real unless done with and validated by a peer. That's why young teen girls are almost never seen alone, they are always with a Best Friend or a group. Anything social change you want to encourage or engineer has to be done through or by influencing the group. A tween or teen alone, travailing the word with her parents would probably be board stiff, even in Rome. Yet teen with friend would not even have to leave the bedroom to spend hours happily entertained. You need to cultivate or find a best friend who can experience and validate life, and the beach, with her. Sorry that's just how teens brains work, much to the frustration of parents. |

My girlfirends younger sister is tiny and when she was about 13 we couldnt find any thong bikinis that would fit her properly. But I did find a solution.
To start with, you need to buy a couple of micro bikini's from Wicked Weasel in a small. We bought a 451 and a 455 and you need to make sure you they have a string back. Get her to try them on and if the straps are too loose, unpick the stitching around the little metal hoops, pull the the straps in and pin it, try it on again and repeat until it's right and resew them. Honestly, it's not that hard, you could even take it to a seemstress to resew them if you didnt think you could do it. I've done it a couple of time since then and it works really well. A couple of people mentioned tie sides but the trouble is the crotch strap is still too big. It's much easier to get something that you can adjust all the straps on. Good luck! bec. |

The SideStraps&Ring modification worksvery well as suggested, I've done this to many of my Brave & Bold thongs and G-stings for a custom FIT!! All ya need is a seam rip tool-needle and matching color thread... I will say that there would be something odd about going out by yourself and buying womens clothing, For Yourself, to be very specific. I'm not saying it's a good idea to buy your daughter who's not even in junior high yet, a thong, but I have been out and bought clothes for my wife without her being with me and that doesn't make me weird, and it's entirely subjective how someone feels about going out a buying clothes for the opposite sex while unattended, but just saying that buying clothes FOR women in general is weird, may be a bit harsh.

I have on many occasions bought my wife not just lingerie but other clothing that she could wear in public. Most of the time it was a "just because" kind of a thing. My wife and I have been married for several years and know one another's likes and dislikes. So, for me this is what a husband should be doing for his wife. It does not feel weird in anyway as far as I am concerned. It is normal in my book. Now as far as what the poster stated it is just an opinion. I don't think he was being harsh. To each his own I always say. In addition to this I remember the last time I purchased some bras for my wife at a women's clothing store there was this (one) guy looking at me like "what the hell is he doing." Ha, Ha people are just conditioned.

I haven't bought something like that for her on my own. It's not that I would refuse to do it it's just because I have not faced that situation. Since our kids are really into Brazilian swimwear they have been wearing bikinis with 4 sliding triangles for a couple of years. However Brazilian styles can be even cheekier...
My 9-year-old daughter often scrunches the front triangle to about 4 3/8" as I have seen with a couple of Brazilian girls of that age and her sisters (aged 11 and 15) have got bikins with sliding bottom fronts that cannot even be worn wider, quite a cheeky contrast to their non-adjustable tops. Now I decided that the 9-year-old can go two steps farther and get a similar bikini. However she and her 11-year-old sister both want 2 or 3 new bikinis with even narrower bottoms, about 3 1/4" in case of the youngest and 3 1/2" for the 11-year-old (not sure if I will allow it)! The string bikini bottoms should have a thong back and the Rio bottoms should have a wide silver-colored waistband with two fastening clips at the front, preferred made of metal. I know that this will be a custom order like some of their hitherto bikinis but I still do not know where to order them. Few suppliers will have these materials and most of them will decline making such skimpy bikini bottoms for girls far under 14 years. Some swimsuit makers have already found their kids' swimwear on websites made for pedophiles whilst others got trouble after having made skimpy preteen swimwear. The seamstress who made our hitherto custom swimsuits has already given up making such swimsuits for these reasons. (Quite funny, the same seamstress had created a surprisingly daring tween swimsuit accidentally; I told the story on "Thong bikini for my daughter?" at 07/26/2016 08:06.) Does anybody have an idea? |

Every now and then online I would find something but it usually boils down to finding something that I thought she would look good in and then place the order once it came in the mail I would end up taking it straight to the sewing machine and have her keep trying it on until I got the right fit and look for her.
So in her younger years she had many modified thongs. I have since started doing the same thing for a couple of friends of ours who are also raising their child as we did. All they do is find a thong they want for their kid and then bring them to me to work on getting them sized the right. The only downside is that some of the materials in today's things are sometimes a little difficult to sew thread through. |
