Not up, not down, not even sideways, but straight foward --- that is when I'm wearing my novelty Good Devil "Balz Out" thong, which bares the boys through a bottom opening and places your shaft under a soft pyramid pointing foward. Suitable for neither public beach nor under clothes, but a definite double take elsewhere. Comfortable, too.

If pointing down I prefer to point down and to the left side (my normal side) which gives it more prominence. I also like pointing it to the left side more horizontal then up, then if there's movement it will just stretch out to the side of the suit

I have recently bought a couple of micro-thongs which are VERY small and shaped very specifically to take a point down arrangement. It's a bit odd but I got used to it quite quickly. On balance, up is the way for me. I'm expecting some very low rise cheap thongs in the next few days in the mail. As they were cheap I ordered them as a bit of an experiment and the point up might not be a possibility - might have to hang sideways! I shall report back if I remember.

The 3D pouches are a tight fit and point down, the torpedos point out, the rockets point out and up. The horizon is designed to be worn upright and you cant wear it any other way. The missile hangs down or wherever but points up when you get an @@@@@@. Basically all Dore suits show off your "package" in all it's glory but I think for all out comfort, the missile wins. It is incredibly comfortable to wear, literally fits like a "penis glove" and its like you aren't wearing anything at all. It feels like you're totally naked, whether you're swimming, walking, running or whatever....and the joy of it is, you're completely covered!!

It's obviously a major issue with us thongers and in fact men in general.Anyway, I wore briefs from childhood until a couple of years ago when I tried thongs and then switched to them full time. I never gave much thought to the fact that I always point up until I heard that very old fashioned phrase, "dressing to the left/right". I just figured that, well, I'm neither, I dress "upwards" and left it at that. However, I've recently bought some tiny men's thongs where the anatomy is very much directed by the shaping of the garment. Ive had to get used to pointing downward in a confined space, if you get my meaning, and it can be quite arousing when it's not that convenient, practical or indeed socially acceptable to be aroused. Like I said, I'm getting used to it.So in summary, my preference is up but I can do down if I have to. As for left or right as in that old phrase, if I'm doing down, I think right is my natural hang when clothed.For the sheer hell of it I'm thinking about getting a REALLY tiny thong - still meant for men. I guess then the enforced orientation will be, squashed in however it will fit and hope to godness that I don't get aroused.

Like my other very small thongs I mentioned, they encourage a point down or even outwards, displaying quite some bulge! However, point up does work but then there's this funny bit of excess pouch where the point would be in a point-down arrangement. Also, up or down, given how little room there is for my package, arrousal could be ... interesting.

My Rio thong keeps it up pointing and prevents it from slipping down or sideways. I guess being slightly well-endowed helps!

I like the new backless strings from Good Devil and PPU that cover only your shaft. That way I can point every which way, either when wearing it alone or as underwear while driving on a long trip. Driving can squash everything together in an uncomfortable position that's hard to straighten out when in traffic. The "C Sock" by PPU and the Good Devil equivalent help keep things from sticking together in an uncomfortable ball. Neither has any butt floss or ball coverage. Great for sunning and swimming in a privately owned location, too (shaft sleeve is tan-thru mesh). The Good Devil has a clasp in the back center of the waistband that's hard to connect. I just stuck mine together with a twist of fine wire.

Proof is that Gregg Homme has the same suit in up and down versions, it's the Voyeur thong. The Snyder Bulge line and the MuscleSkins Posers are designed to be pointing down. Narciso (an argie brand) thongs are tipically for pointing up (my daily underwear) |

Over the last year I've tried pointing up. I've found it takes some getting used to but over time it seems to find its way back to the downward position again.

. Under a swimsuit or while wearing a thong under tights, my PB takes the shape of a female breast, which (to my eyes, anyway) is more tasteful and less lurid than the frank-and-beans look. I've never had a complaint about how that looks, only about being a man in tights. |

I love the tiny-pouch, nearly-nothing suits that won't allow expansion but they are a pain when aroused. Up is also critical which lying on my stomach, as I always grow a lot in that position. Koala used to make the "Microsplash" which was a rio with a soft fabric sleeve that held you upright, and felt fabulous. I don't like tight rings but fabric rings really feel great. Another way you could wear the Microsplash was to hike the pouch up and slip your xxx beneath the sleeve then upwards, which made for a very stimulating suit with just enough room to hold you in at full mast.
I need to try the Dore Horizon and and some teardrop suits with fabric sleeves. The JS bulge thongs and rios are extremely comfortable, letting you push out a lot when the occasion arises. I would like to wear the Dore Torpedo, let alone be naked, to feel free when I need to expand. |

It minimises any discomfort I might feel when things become turgid.
I like wearing pouch thongs (Manstore and Cocksox) which are designed for the downward bend. So, in this case I point down. |

My barest thong of all is shaft UP ! It's much less coverage than those shaft-only suits by PPU and Good Devil. It is all string and no cloth, being three rings around the shaft plus a larger one around the base of everything, with a waistband. It is one of only a few made by Dore in her heyday, and I hope her niece can be persuaded to make and list them when she goes into full operation next year. Dore called it a "bungie," but she had also called some other styles that too.

Now that I have discovered the joys of one-sided thongs, I wear it up! This feels so much better! No more scrunching it into a small pouch. I can still accomplish my no tan lines preference by varying which side I wear the suit on. I have also started wearing very low rise bikinis in the winter where I can wear it straight across (horizontal). This feels so much better than scrunching into a small pouch that I rarely wear my old, tiny suits anymore.

A very minimalist thong such as the Koala "Tyrant" really has no room unless it's in the down position. Thongs such as the Joe Snyder "enhancer" assume the down position, which in their case would be better called the "forward" position! To some extent this decreases the "skin on skin" problem since there is no squashing. Other more basic thongs with less of a shaped pouch allow a little more leeway, and in that case I often like to wear to the side (normally the right side, occasionally the left). I rarely wear it pointing upwards, as my sensitivity makes this somewhat uncomfortable. Of course if I am erect it's a whole different "ball game". Upwards is fine, in that case! |

My problem is that they are designed for your penis to point down and "cover" your balls. When shrunken it's easy to do and quite comfortable but a sharp pain follows slight . I normally point my penis up when wearing underwear since that's the way it naturally grows. So now I point it up so that when it's engorged it can grow along one of the waist/front straps. I'm of average size.
So my questions are: 1. When in small pouches do you guys who normally point up also experience discomfort when engorged (not fully erect)?2. How do you get it right to fit into small and micro pouch thongs comfortably?3. Aren't you afraid of developing Peyronie's DiDisease?4. Do you have any other advice for me? In one sentence: I basically feel stuffed. Is it normal to feel this way at first? |

When I'm pointing up or to the side, my shaft stays average. So I have been trying to keep it more often now pointing up. Anyone else have this problem ?

In a speedo/bikini suit then sideways - that's the way the Italians seem to prefer - you often see them re-arranging for best effect. Thankfully boardshorts haven't taken over completely.

The exception to this is when I wear my loincloth-flap from thebikini.com. I have joined two so that they cover both front & back, just, using the side strings with a magnetic clasp.This allows quick on & off as it is really only an occasional coverup when to & fro the beach. The back easily lifts in any breeze, though, giving a nice glimpse of my lower buttock cheeks |

Otherwise, to the side since everything else (square cut and bikini) is too low cut to place upwards. In those if I start to get hard (and it always happens at least once or twice) I'll be right out the top and it will be a LOT more than the tip. Thats not going to work at ANY textile beach, lol.

But, as many state, keeping it in the up position is not all that easy. I found the solution years ago...I have a PA and simply hook one side of the curved barbell or circular ring over the top of the suit. This will keep it in the up position, walking, running, swimming all the time. Since most all of my suits are see=thru you can see the PA anyway so whats wrong with a little silver hanging over the top of your thong. Works perfectly for me.

No way they will accommodate them if pointing upwards.However, I have a few thongs that will hold the goodies only if I wear them upwards. I have seen Asian male pageants where the young men compete in small bikinis, thongs, a a few in tiny g-strings before mixed crowds. It is common to see guys pointing up in bikinis and thongs.
I purchased a Brother computerized sewing machine on Black Friday two years ago to alter and repair clothes. I tried altering some of my thongs but found it easier to buy fabric and make my own by laying out g-strings that fit me and using them as a pattern. It was a learning curve and ended up needing to buy elastic, pins clips, scissors Etc.
I want to buy a serger/coverstitch machine to make g-strings look more professional. Still I am not hesitant to wear the ones I made in public.
I decided to make new g-strings during the cold this winter. I made a few slingshot/G's that cup under my large plumbs to stay on with no back string. The waist band are thin 2.5 mm elastic strings similar to the Bruno G-strings. After seeing the posts about direction up or down I decided to make a g-string that would keep me in the up position. I saw one online and made a pattern similar except I made it with no back string and it stays on by cupping under my plumbs. I have worn the new G-string all day and stayed in the up position and it felt very comfortable.
I also made just a pouch no strings. I will never wear it in public. I want to have something I can wear without worrying about it slipping off while swimming, walking, or other activities. Also don't want to appear completely nude on public beaches. I will wear it to keep from getting my boys sun burned (it happened before) and still get an overall tan in my back yard. The other slingshot/G If I wear it to a beach I will add a string in the rear to make sure it stays in place.
One final note. Pointing up makes the bulge more noticeable since it is tight against my body and not hanging lower where the bulge sort of hang a little between the legs. I hate the look of missile/torpedo style g-strings and thongs. I wore my new slingshot/G under a pair of short to take a walk, the bulge was very noticable so I wore a tank top which partially hid the bulge. |
