I have a one piece thong I usually pack for business trips. I know it sounds odd to wear a thong on a business trip but I have always been accepted. My thong is simple, white, a little see-thru when wet (but is lined in the crotch area) and has a really high-cut back. I have found that this suit looks very up-scale and sort of European or like something high class. My recommendations are to go with a solid color -- I think white is very good but even solid black would be okay. Go with a suit with as high of leg cutouts in the back as possible. Keep your suit back narrow, or it will be bunching up and uncomfortable. This will help keep the suit in the right groove. At the same time, look for a suit that from the front looks very conservative and covers everything as close to a mallet look as possible. Start with something that does not have a lot of side exposure. With the exception of the high cut thong, the suit should be pretty much be a traditional one-piece swimsuit. A suspender suit can be a lot of fun, but you will have to constantly adjust things. This is great if you want to show more off, but a big issue if you want to have something that does not need constant adjustment. With this type suit, everything is exposed from the small of the back down, which makes you look taller. There are some with additional cut-out areas on the back, but I don't think these have the international look of mallet based suits. I have worn this suit at many thong tolerant places, but it has a look that is acceptable at most places where thongs are not normally permitted. I just figure if someone were ever to complain (nobody has) I would tell them that I assumed a thong was a bikini-style suit and my suit is one-piece. Examples would be the suit worn in "My Father the Hero" or to a lesser extent "Crocodile Dundee". (See youtube for clips showing these suits). This style, will stay in place, look very sexy but still not too skimpy. When I wear mine, I generally get a lot of compliments from my co-workers, and the best thing is that once on and adjusted, I never have to mess around with keeping everything in the right place.
