Date Posted:05/28/2026 09:20:51Copy HTML I've been watching those endless "beach walk" videos, beaches around the world. I've even looked up many of the beaches referenced here as "thong friendly". You see tons of women in thongs, but guys? Nope. Not a one. You hardly see a guy in a big ol' speedo with 5" sides. Bikinis on the guys? Nah, not that either. And that appears to be global in a time that was supposed to be the "year(s) of the tiny mens swimsuit". So what is it then, complete myth? Sure, there are nude beaches that wouldn't mind you thonging, but they're nude beaches. Why would you? And there are no doubt many beaches where you can thong away and receive no overt objections. But you'd be the only one out there too. So, really now, what's left? Gay beaches? Fine if you're into that, but if not, wouldn't you feel a bit like a fish out of water? So what are we then, less than 0.5% on a good day? Where are all you guys in thongs? |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:05/28/2026 11:50:52Copy HTML Heading into Europe for holidays I reckon the see one guy in a thong each trip.
It’s usually easier to go nude in many places
I’m guessing peak years for guys in thongs was from 1970s - 1990s and then in places like Ibiza.
It’s never been more than a very low %age though.
But the great thing is you can do it if you want to. |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:05/28/2026 02:26:30Copy HTML Just because a beach is thong friendly does not mean we have paid a man to stand around in a thong all day every day, to be videotaped. Even if I went to the beach each and every day of the year, and spend two hours on the beach, that means there are ten hours of daylight when I am not there.
If you are looking for others to be there, on the day and time you arrive, then with the exception of a very few beaches, you are probably going to be unlucky.
You have to get over your fear of being the only one. You may find once you have had the courage others will follow your example.
If you hide away in the dunes or behind a wind breaker the beach voyeurs with video cameras are not going to see you, and someone on the internet will complain the beach has no men in thongs.
The beach voyeurs are probably insecure men looking for women in thongs, and probably going to edit out any man in a thong they happen across. If they had any personal integrity, common sense or courage they would be sunning and swimming rather than stalking. |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:05/28/2026 04:56:53Copy HTML Oh I have seen a guy or two in these videos -- from Miami Beach, from Spain, from Ibiza.
Understand that guys in thongs even at the most popular places like Miami Beach are about 0.5% of men.
Understand that you have to see the back of their suit (1/2 the time they're there)
Understand the camera has to "find " them or have unobstructed view (?50% chance)
Understand the camera operator has to find them, linger on them...so probably thinking showing a guy might turn off viewers or turn on only gay viewers?
Understand that the guy might get edited out in the end!
What I look for is the "sense" of freedom in swimwear I see. If I see women in thongs romping all over or TNT then a guy in a thong would be fine! Recently saw one with a random nude dude laying on his back on an otherwise textile beach on Ibiza- that's my kind of beach- might see guys and girls freeing themselves every day. |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:05/31/2026 06:26:15Copy HTML Still searching for a beach walk video with a guy in a thong. I did land on a Miami Beach video that shows clusters of guys in speedos/bikinis (seems like groups of gay guys) but no guy, straight or gay, in a thong.
So as suspected, "we" are a really rare breed. I've never worn a thong in public, but have in a more or less private lake area where there could be public but not typically, and mine is an audience of one, and I'm good with that as long as she reacts positively.
The over-riding bias in perception here has always been that guys in thongs or bikinis are gay. We fight that all the time, but guess what, that seems to be pretty much true from the beach videos. There is zero evidence of a straight guy in a thong on any of them. So yeah, we're pretty rare.
I don't thing this will change, or even changes anything. I'm not confident enough to be "that guy" anywhere but in seclusion, though frankly if I could be one of "those guys" I'd do it.
And all of this last season about the rise of the brief suit seems ultimately to be nonsense.

Yes there are a lot of them available on the net, but I don't know where these guys are wearing them.
There are two guys who promote bikini or thong mens swimwear actively. Two. One is Nate at https://www.the-bottom-drawer.com/, who does a good and honest job of reviewing and writing op-eds about bikini and thong wearing, and practices it himself. Great guy. The other is Christian Ocean
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDJprKyMd4zcPOqKRvi42_Q The has a ton of confidence, and posts a lot of videos of himself getting other guys to try thongs for the first time (always with positive results). But...his private channels feature gay and bi videos. I don't disqualify him for that at all, but it spins the whole thing as to who wears this stuff in public. Helping, but not helping.
So where are these men thong beaches again? |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:05/31/2026 03:55:35Copy HTML The guys walking beaches for YouTube content are generally heading to the most crowded and popular sections of beach, hoping to see hot women in thongs. If they did see a man in a thong they would probably cut that part of the video. These are not people going to the beach to layout, to swim or enjoy themselves in beach activities. They are there to look. Gawkers with cameras. I think the telling sentences in the above post are: "I've never worn a thong in public" and "I don't know where these guys are wearing them". Yesterday I was wearing a thong most of the day, in public, paddle boarding and at the popular sandbar. Today I am wearing a g-string around the house and carrying palm fronds across the street. If you want to wear a thong just-do-it. Stop looking for other people to blaze the trail, and stop watching beach walk videos. They are sucking your time when you could be using that time outdoors. If you don't go to the beach, and wear a thong, you are unlikely to bump into other men wearing thongs. At some point you have to stop complaining that you don't see others on the beach walk videos and go be the thonger that appears in a beach walk video. Unless you are brave enough to publicly wear a thong yourself, in a crowded section of a public beach, you should not complain that the videos don't show many men in thongs. Some months ago I was explaining to a friend that next to the beach outside my mother's Spanish apartment is a marina with upscale shops called "Puerto Portals". When she googled the first YouTube video she found showed me strolling through the background, in a thong, probably picking up trash from the beach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC15Jpqf-Dk |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:06/01/2026 12:46:10Copy HTML Where? Look at the index of threads there are listings in almost every state in the US and many other countries! We can't put them in one sentence. Because there are only maybe 100 guys each day around the world they aren't in the same place! |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:06/02/2026 08:26:00Copy HTML Yep, no men in thongs.
But it's heartening to see men in these countries in speedos. It's not our preferred swimwear but I'll take it. |

Re:YouTube Beach Walk videos - not a guy in a thong anywhere Date Posted:06/06/2026 11:44:59Copy HTML Don't get discouraged because you don't see a male thonger in these beach walk videos. On a good day, you'll find only one or two male thongers on the beach. |
