I didn't try to wear my thong at the Hilton since I was there with coworkers, but I did wear my speedo with no hassle. As you'll see in my report, Ormond Beach is a better bet for thonging than Daytona (although it's perfectly legal on any beach in Volusia county.

We are going to new smyrna beach, would like to know of any thong friendly hotels in that area too. Might end up trying the nude beach, but sometimes its more sexy to be the brave ones in barely nothing opposed to everyone in nothing.

The driving legal beach goes north from there all the way to the inlet, and several miles south as well. Between Flagler Avenue and the inlet are some more residential sections of beach. By that, I mean they have houses and fewer high-rise type places, and no beachfront restaurants and such. You could also go all the way to the inlet, park on the beach, then walk along the inlet and you will have no vehicle traffic and light foot traffic. Alternatively, you could skip driving on the beach entirely and park free at one of the city or county parks along the beach. Towards the south end of NSB, there are some of these parks on sections of beach that are closed to vehicles. Those should have showers, but the downside is that they will also have lots of children around.

She has some very brief, sheer a Wicked Weasels and I have a Skinz rio back string and am buying a Beach N Dance narrow back suit. For real, where can we push the envelope a little, and enjoy a little exhibitionism without getting trouble at NSB? I imagine the clothed areas of Apollo are fine, but I'm thinking on the regular beach. We will be renting a cottage walking distance from the sand.

Just go north or south of the walkover a ways and you are fine. Rangers drove the length of the beach twice on Monday and never stopped or said anything.

Having parking for ??8-12 nude people and everyone else has to walk or is shut out won't bring their gate counts up. They never get any funding without people!Don't know if there's a funding need of the Apollo end over the Playalinda end of the National Seashore.If they have expanded space for people there will be a boom in tourism to the areas at both ends.

We were in NSB for a week in early October and had a wonderful time. We were at Apollo four times, lot 4 and 5. There were very few nude people and not one in anything even brief. We parked at 4 and walked south (towards lot 5) and a few times at 5 and settled not far from the entrance. I wore a Beach n Dance narrow back low cut from the car all the way until we found our spot - but then got right to being nude :-) No problem at all. Of course wearing a tiny suit on a beach that is a "nude" beach isn't actually daring, LOL On the other hand, at NSB beach proper (we were staying at the Crawford St area - several blocks north of Flagler) there were a lot of fully clothed people walking about, a bunch of "normal" suits. One lovely, fit, woman in a very small thong. Lost my nerve with the Beach n Dance suit, since it gets a little see-through when wet (oops) so I opted for a very brief N2N bikini - one with an "extreme" pouch. Felt totally comfortable with that one. It is very form fitting and snug, so it's a pretty sexy, radical suit relative to what most guys wear.Next time I'd definitely give a narrow back (which rides up to a thong almost immediately on me) or thong a try - I just need one that is opaque when wet. Which I have already ordered.:-)I'll keep the sheer when wet one for South Beach, I guess. ;-)

I love walking around in the parking lots, walkovers, and beaches in the thong. I love the stares and looks. I know what you feel about loosing your nerve when on the textile beach proper. Some days it can be daring, others, not so much. Glad you guys had a good time.

I was going to go to n peninsula Saturday but went to Ormand by the sea instead. Of coarse thongs there as well and saw a couple young girls walking on A1A in a thong in Flagler which is supposed to be illegal as well.

The beach sand is Volusia County, thong legal. Thongs are so common and the styles are so varied it is not like it was several years ago that citing people for thong wearing seems ridiculous.

I walk the beach nude (if you don't count sunglasses and sometimes a hat). The c/o sections are at the ends of the roads. If I remember correctly, the parking lotsfor the c/o sections are 6 (north or New Smyrna beach end) and 13 (south or Titusville end) - in any event just go as far as the road will take you.

Iif you get a backcountry pass from the ranger at the entrance you can walk as far as you can handle - miles and miles and miles - usually without seeing a person. You can be nude but it's probably a good idea o have something (like a tiny thong) to put on "just in case" and you'll need that backcountry pass on you at all times.Two years ago my wife and I were in the backcountry area of playalinda (the section is actually called Klondike beach - so it's the middle part of that 20+ mile beach), all by ourselves with our stuff, completely naked. A Ranger came driving along, checking turtle nests and she diverted her path to us. I carried on a whole conversation with her while completely naked. The only thing she asked about was whether we had our backcountry pass on us.

Beach is nice and I've thonged there many times over the years. Usually a lot of fishermen there and never a problem. This section is in Volusia County where things are legal on the beaches. Lots of big waves every time I visited, a little rough swimming and a workout just standing in the waves!

I don't have any recommendations on wear to set up since I am not local and we just hung out near our hotel. I can give you my experience though. Some info on what to expect, based on other reports on this site it may seem like thongs on ladies are becoming more popular, but on NSB I would say it was maybe 1 and 10 women. I was definitely the only guy in a thong for probably 10 miles in either direction. If you're looking to be exposed in a tiny swimsuit in a the middle of a crowd of people then I say go for NSB! You will not be disappointed. They do allow driving on the beach so it was pretty crowded with a long row of parked cars and people hanging out. My wife and I hung out towards the back of the beach actually behind where the cars were parked. After a bit I decided I would take a dip in the water. And boy what a test of bravery! The beach is probably 150 yards long at low tide. One of the longest walks of my life (but also one of the most exhilarating). Probably took a full 5 minutes to walk down to the water, it felt like forever. My thoughts during the walk... Okay, lets cool off in some water. [stand up] Feels good to stand up, better brush the sand off everywhere, especially my bottom. Want to make sure everything looks good! [start walking] This isn't so bad, I see a girl over to my right with a cheeky bikini. We're like peas in a pod! Though she looks much better than me! I think I'll walk between these two parked cars, there doesn't seem to be anyone over there Oops, I was wrong there's a couple of women sitting behind them Oh, wow there are a few cars driving by. I can't believe I'm walking through traffic in a thong! I hope no one is distracted [cross behind a pickup truck to avoid waiting] Okay, on the other side of the road way... Wow, I still have a long way to go! I just realized, everyone at the beach basically sits facing the ocean... Of course. But that means everyone behind me is literally looking at my backside... yay?! Oh look at that mom filming her child playing on the beach, think I'll veer a bit left to avoid being picked up in their family video archives Am I walking right? I feel awkward, focus on a natural walk, yea that's it! [start walking awkward] I just realized the further down the beach I go the wider the viewing angle of people that will probably notice me! Oh look, a few girls in cheeky cuts in the water, I'll head closer to them and away from the guys throwing the football [more walking seemingly forever] Finally! I've made it to the water [sloshing through water] Wow this beach is flat, I've walked another 20 yards and my knees aren't even covered [wave comes through] Oh good a wave, but still wasn't high enough to cover my bottom half [more walking] Finally in the water consistently up to my chest. I feel like I can relax just a bit. [turn around] Wow, looking back at this beach, I literally had an audience of at least 300 people. Wonder how many of them pointed out pink floral thong guy??? (a lot I hope) Man, that was fun. I can't wait to do it again! [float around in the waves for a bit] Time to walk back, this time I can look at peoples faces as I approached them. As expected mostly not paying any attention to me [walk next to someone sunning herself looking at the ocean] I'm going to try to see if she turns her head as I walk by... [she turns her head] Aha! Caught you! [get back to my towel] Wow, that was fun! Wonder how long I should wait to do it again :-) Based on what you said in your post, you should definitely go for it. It was really exciting and definitely worth it. I visited the water a couple more times throughout the rest of the day. Each time was just as thrilling as the last. I would eventually like to plan another 2-3 week road trip to FL, in my Jeep Wrangler, returning to the beaches in Volusia County, then going to Playalinda Beach in Brevard County, then going to South Beach and Haulover Beach in Miami, then going to the Fantasy Fest in Key West. For this trip, my goal would be to wear many different teardrop g-strings as much as possible for the entire trip (hotel pools, beaches, festival, etc.) This would be a trip of a lifetime that I have been thinking about for quite a while and I would prefer to not travel alone. I would be curious if anyone out there has thought about making similar plans. As a side note: Even though Ormond Beach is in Volusia County, my research shows thongs are not allowed on Ormond Beach. Because of this, I limited my thong wearing to Daytona Beach, Daytona Shores, and New Smyrna Beach.

I hope its packed when I am there, me and my wife have matching skinz suits and this will be our first time wearing them in public. We've been to new Smyrna before but always hit Apollo or Playalinda so we could be full nude, this is our first time being apart nude on a much busier beach. I think it will be a lot of fun, I'll try to give some fun play by play like the one you shared once we get back. (I also have a great tiny half thong that may or may not be used depending on the scene. Might try that in Daytona which seems a little more party oriented)

However, the beaches themselves are under the jurisdiction of Volusia County, not the city. Thongs are legal in Volusia County, so you may wear thong suits on the beaches in Daytona Beach. Thongs are also legal in Daytona Beach Shores, and Ormond beach which is a separate municipality from Daytona Beach.

It's not as long of a trip on the Florida east coast I had hoped, but I'll take what I can get. I will be staying at the Cove Motel in Daytona Beach. I already booked the room and confirmed thongs are permitted at the pool. This is great news to hear for when wanting to relax by the pool in the evenings. I plan to be on the beach from about 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day, wearing one of my many thongs and g-strings. I will definitely take a day or two to go to Apollo Beach to work on the all-over tan. I have had great success wearing minimalistic swimwear here in the past and my confidence has grown immensely since then. I originally did not plan to visit in March during spring break. I usually go to Florida in September/October. However, this trip is an extension of a trip to Clearwater the few days prior. As a person who has not been in college since the early 80's :), this trip be interesting. I hope my presence will be accepted.

I did manage to get in a few walks and bike rides on the beach, wearing a tear drop g-string. There were a few looks, a few snickers, and a few pictures taken. It didn’t phase me one bit. It was also not very crowded because it was so cold. It finally warmed up today and I was able to squeeze in a couple hours before leaving town. One woman was taking pictures of the “beach” as I was walking by. I politely asked her to take a picture of me, with my phone, so I can show it to like minded friends back home. I spent yesterday afternoon at Apollo Beach, near Cape Canaveral. It was my second visit to the beach. It was also cold, but I got over it. It quickly reminded me of how wonderful it is to be at one with nature. I had zero apprehension whatsoever. My suit came off as soon as I was at the end of the boardwalk. I also asked a fellow naturist to take my picture. My goal in 2026 is to unapologetically wear a thong or g-string as much as legally possible. I also plan to visit a few naturist resorts with some friends, go on an underwear ride wearing just a thong, go to a venue that hosts naked bowling, etc. For future travel, I hope to attend Fantasy Fest in Key West. It’s been on my bucket list for a couple years.

Tuesday through Thursday we had a cold snap but by Friday we were back to normal and today, Saturday the 21st. It was 80 degrees in Fort Lauderdale with a large number of boats partying at the Sandbar. Toasty warm. I wore a thong all day the prior weekend, then again Friday, Saturday. Will thong again tomorrow. Next time you come down for Spring Break come a little further south.

I stayed an extra 5 days in Daytona Beach because it is the closest beach town to the train station. I was trying to maximize my time at the beaches in Volusia County where I know thongs and g-strings are legal. A bonus on this trip was a visit to the Skinzwear store in Clearwater, where I ordered a custom thong modeled after the M77. I spent quite a bit of time trying on different stock suits and the M77 was close to what I was looking for. I showed them one of my favorite thongs from Cocksox and the custom pattern is cut similar, but with a triangular back from the M77. I tried on several suits and showed everyone there how they fit on me and what I was specifically looking for. They were very helpful. I have to say, I was the least bit intimidated because they fully understood what I was looking for in a perfect thong. On my next trip to Florida, I hope to go much further south and go to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and possibly Key West.

Beautiful beach with plenty of space to catch some sun. We drove nearly the entire length of the beach and there are some areas more crowed and some more private. There were endless ladies in thong bikinis, but sadly were the only couple in thong bikinis to be seen. Nearly every guy is in board shorts, saw one guy in a box cut. However, the beach is definitely thong friendly as the reactions that we got were all positive!
