What they call a g-string I would call a conservative front thong. That said, the prices appear reasonable, around $16 US and on sale items for $8. Probably worth a look people looking for more reasonable priced conservative front swim thongs, especially for people located in Australia. |

Re:spikeypike.com Date Posted:12/23/2025 01:17:29Copy HTML In Australia "G string" is used for anything with a string or strap in the crack. The term "thong" is used only for thong sandals like Havianas. In Australia you'd think people are wearing two bathing suits to the beach-- butt no! |

Re:spikeypike.com Date Posted:12/23/2025 01:27:01Copy HTML I have several pairs of these. Mainly the plain and printed spandex. I have one in white lace and one Camo mesh.
As probably mentioned before, Australians tend to label anything as a G-string that could really be a Tanga through to a micro-G.
This particular brand are definitely a larger fit. Read the blurb on their website explaining their sizing. That also makes them a more conservative cut of thong.
I usually wear a smaller 'Large' or bigger 'Medium'. I'm a 32-33" waist. In this brand I get a 'Small'. I would also say they are designed to pull up higher like an 80's design would. They do stay put fairly well and are comfortable enough for all day underwear. They are soft and stretchy.
I can attest to their comfort and the quality is quite good. They are unlined, and I don't think there's an option to get them with front lining.
I have been using these for getting around at home, swimming laps, worn as underwear, and tanning. I'm quite happy with them especially for the price. |
